Perfect for checking power consumption
This is very useful for checking power consumption on any standard socket. Due to its size it can be awkward on double sockets requiring the removal of the lower plug if monitoring the upper socket. I use it for monitoring my computers and other system components to ensure I have the correctly sized UPS. But it has come in useful for checking kitchen appliances etc. works well with the proviso that it needs space around the socket to be used.Recommended.

To kill a Watt?
Atticus Finch would be proud to have this .James C Maxwell would have bought several of these, And Ben Franklin would have considered this a powerful tool to have in his toolbox. Tommy Edison wouldn’t have used it in his D.C. experiments but Nicola Tesla would have given it a thorough test run and likewise recommended this to George Westinghouse. Even I think it’s good.

Great device
The screen is difficult to read. I needed to watch a youtube video to fully understand all of its features. I am using it to measure how much electricity I am using to charge my new electric car. Overall I am quite pleased with it.

Great Product!
Easy to use, fairly priced, and provides a great deal of insight into how much power is actually being used by household items.

Measures all it lists in the manual
Only one thing that I don't like is the LCD Display has no backlight. You need a flashlight to read it even in normal room lighting and you have to get on the floor for most outlets.Image is measuring the power my Family Room A/C is drawing. The instruction for setting your electric rate are a bit vague on the button sequence.

Very useful power monitor
Makes it easy to monitor power usage of any corded electrical device. The more you use it the easier it gets to setup and read results.

Disappointed by lazy design
When I needed an inline power meter I came straight for the OG, the Kill-A-Watt. I'm glad I didn't go with one of the $12 amazon branded ones, but I expected better from P3.First - function is as expected: great. Works fine, does what it claims, accurate.Minus 1 star for the packaging, not only is it one of those terrible plastic clamshells forged together in the heart of a fusion reactor, but when I sliced it open with my trusty pocket knife and went to rip it apart, I found out that the nuclear effing plastic is actually pretty brittle, and a piece shattered and flew across the room, leaving me to break pieces off until I could free the unit from its plastic prison. This type of packaging should have never existed, yet here it is in 2024, still sucking.Minus 1 star because this thing blocks both outlets on a standard 2 plug outlet. Seriously? I was already short on plugs, and now I'm forced to temporarily daisy chain power strips for the convenience of knowing my consumption. If the rear plug was moved down LITERALLY ONE QUARTER OF ONE INCH, wouldn't be a problem. I'd return it for something else, but I've already gotten the use out of it I needed it for. Finally, I know the more expensive models have backlights, but a backlight would be a way more useful feature for me than an internal battery backup.
