I was pleasantly surprised at how bright the lights are on this photo box. I was worried that it won't be bright enough. I was worried for no reason.Assembly was simple, and the supplied backdrops are kind of fun with several colors to choose from, although I really just see myself using either the black or the white backdrop.This is a great value, and can be a lot fun shooting items like jewelry, watches, gems, or what have you that is small enough. The photo box will light anything in it enough to showcase the details of any item. I can honestly recommend.

I am still feeling out what I want to do with the LEDs as far as brightness. The item took some time to figure out for assembly (mostly figuring out how to get it all unwrapped) and the backgrounds are kind of a foam type sheet. I actually like that because they lack texture which is awesome for photos. I photograph jewelry and need to show off a lot of small details. The background does indent easily and does pick up dust very easily, but it's worth it.I do really like this product so far. I haven't had it long, but used it for a lot of photos. Examples included: The first one is straight from the camera. I used my cellphone LG G5 for the photos. You can see how the original came out. I played with brightening that in photoshop a little for the second one and you can tell it gives a pretty good product photo. It works well, so far, with most of my necklaces too . You can see the third, untouched, photo shows size of necklace I can easily take photos of in this. It will be for smaller products. Pay attention to the size you need. For me it works great. The LEDs are lovely. Some stones do catch the light, of course, but not in a distracting way.I do recommend this. If anything changes, I'll post, but so far so good. It also folds back easily for storage and comes with its own storage bag.

The set up was a little confusing with the pictures and instructions, took me about 10 minutes. But It was worth it; this is the perfect little light box, to take pictures of anything small with a clean and bright background. The lights at the top of the box help you get the best lighting for your picture. It comes with different color backgrounds to change out; this way you can pic the perfect contract that you need. The backgrounds have only a clip fold holding them in, so they don’t sit completely flat, it would be nice to have an extra way to hold it in. This box itself was amazing, but pretty small. I wish it was larger, so I could use it for taking even more pictures.

The light box is inexpensive and works well once it’s put together.However the snaps that hold it together are difficult to position properly. It’s not really intended to assemble and disassemble as a portable light box. The electrical connector for the lights also needs work as it interferes with the sidewall of the light box. Speaking of the sidewalls, the seams from folding the supports are quite visible and limit the maximum size of object you want to photograph to maybe 1/6th of the volume of the box.Again it’s not very expensive and OK as a box for small objects.

2 Reasons why I HAD to return mine:1. Box had a tear on it, thought it did not affect functionality because it gets covered with the backdrop, it was still torn. See picture.2. LED strips were not parallel to each other, instead they were cheaply glued and soldered together in a 'V' shape, which is not what the item description shows. Though they worked OK, I couldn't get passed that they didn't have a cable between them so they run parallel on the back and front like shown in the pictures.Pros: Dimmer is great! I have not found another one with the dimmer.I'm currently looking for another one and I'm tempted to buy this again, I just wish I had some confidence that it will be as described and in a better condition.EDIT: 3 stars to 1.I got contacted by the vendor offering a new one. I said I didn't want one because I had already purchased another one. They said they would love the opportunity to send a new one anyway to make up for the ripped one. Since they insisted I agreed. Then they went silent and I never received the new one.Last edit: from 1 to 5.Customer service really went out of their way. After receiving a defective product, I returned it. They offered to send me a new one at no cost. I said I didn't need one, the insisted on sending me the product. The new product was great and had no issues.I bought a different one for a similar price, but this one seems a better build overall.I would totally buy a larger version of this :)

I took the item out of the box and one of the velcro discs to secure the studio fell off! I tried to work with the studio box for a few days, but it was cheap, flimsy, and the light track began to come apart as it was not glued securely.

This is a powerful little contraption. Perfect for showcasing smaller items, though these come in multiple sites so the possible applications for this are limitless. The light is not just bright but, girl you better have your makeup on point for this kind of light. It will not disappoint on the lights. Has multiple background colors all easily interchangeable and vivid colors that serve their purpose well. There's a nifty little swivel circle cutout on top that allows for overhead shots from the center of that blindingly bright circle of LED shine. Don't fret just yet, the light is dimmable all the way down to a soft romantic glow. This little thing is awkward to out together and could use a better connector setup for the power cable (usb). But overall in more than happy with my purchase and will get lots of use of it for a long time to come.
