75-ounce, single-pack. A protective gel for your skin, made in the United States. Review: desertcart Basics Petroleum Jelly White Petrolatum Skin Protectant That Works Like Name Brands - If you deal with dry, cracked skin, especially in colder weather, a good petroleum jelly is essential. I have used name-brand versions for years, so I was curious whether desertcart Basics Petroleum Jelly White Petrolatum Skin Protectant would perform the same. After regular use, I can say it delivers the same results at a much lower price. The texture is smooth, thick, and consistent. It spreads easily without feeling watery or separated. A small amount covers a large area, so the container lasts a long time. I use it on dry hands, cuticles, elbows, and heels, and it works especially well overnight. By morning, my skin feels softer and better protected because it forms a strong moisture barrier that locks hydration in. It is also very versatile. I use it as a lip protectant, to prevent minor chafing, and to seal in lotion after a shower. The formula is fragrance-free, which makes it suitable for sensitive skin. The ingredient list is simple and straightforward, without unnecessary additives. Compared to well-known brands, I do not notice any difference in thickness, effectiveness, or performance. The consistency and protective quality feel the same. The only real difference is the price, which makes this a better value for everyday use. Overall, this is a dependable, multi-purpose skin protectant that performs exactly as expected. If you want an affordable petroleum jelly that moisturizes effectively, protects dry skin, and works just like the leading brands, desertcart Basics is a practical choice to keep in your home. Review: Love it - I’ve been using this petroleum jelly for dry areas and really like how easy it is to apply. The texture is smooth and it spreads easily without needing a lot of product. It’s fragrance-free, which I prefer, and feels very soothing on dry, irritated skin. The size is also generous, so I feel like I’m getting plenty of product for regular use. It absorbs well. It does a great job of locking in moisture and helping my skin feel softer and more comfortable, especially on extra-dry areas. It does feel a little thicker than a regular lotion, so I wouldn’t call it fast-absorbing, but I like that it leaves a protective layer without any added fragrance. Overall, it’s a simple product that I find really effective and useful to keep around

If you're using this to make tinder ...
I should state up-front that I am not using this the way that most buyers would. I'm using it to produce cheap, storable, reliable tinder that will take a spark (i.e. from a Swedish Firesteel ferrocerium rod). I'm coating cotton balls with this jelly to produce highly effective tinder for starting fires. I have no intention of applying it to anyone's skin. I will say that it was easy to apply with a simple butter knife. The cotton balls absorbed it well. A single spark ignited these reliably and using the ferrocerium rod means saving my lighters and fuel for things that actually need it. I made several spares and they store well in a standard plastic sandwich bag (think off-brand Ziplock). It works well for my purposes. The cotton balls I am using are large, 3x the "standard" size. The cotton wicks the petroleum jelly until the cotton also becomes fuel; if you know how to properly lay out a fire, you get about a solid minute of useful flame for the kindling to catch. There is no need to nurse an ember like you would have to do with a fire piston or a fire bow. You get solid flame from a single spark. That's excellent and downright luxurious compared to other easily available tinders like dryer lint or even thin shavings of birch bark. Unlike some reviewers I did not think it had a low viscosity (the one I received wasn't "runny") but for my application, that would not be a problem at all. If you are considering this as fire-starting fuel, I would recommend it. It's good, it's cheap, it's available, and it does the job. A little goes a long way and you get that for a few bucks. The whole thing costs less over time than butane or naptha (Zippo type lighter fluid) so you can save that for when it's needed.
