Best AC - DC cooler I have used
I have had a couple of DC powered coolers. My use case is camping, keeping food and beverages cold during extended transport, and indoor use over holidays and travel. Each requirement poses different needs. If you use a battery generator for power, efficiency is important to extend battery life and run duration. Good temperature control for beverages and food means things are not freezing or getting too warm. Indoor operation demands quiet operation. In my experience, lesser coolers have no control over temperature and can be noisy. I reviewed the options for a powered cooler with a thermostat and temperature display, two separate sides maybe to use one side for frozen foods, and focusing on users reporting power efficiency and quiet operation. The Bodega is in a middle sweet spot for cost and perceived value. I think the reviews are correct. First off, I tested this inside on the AC connection using house power and a Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 portable power station. Operation was fully manual, without the app (app not covered in this review). From 75F to 40F on the MAX mode took 12 minutes with either the house outlet or Jackery; about 30 minutes to stabilize at -5F. The generator was showing 60W output in that time, and then cycled on and off. In ECO mode, heading down to -5F freezer mode, it took a couple of hours to reach final temp. Once cold, at 0-40F, in ECO mode, the external generator cycles at 0-30W. In the real world, with ambient temps between 50-75F outside, the Jackery dropped from 100% to 82% over a two day, two night camping trip with both compartments at 40F. I thought that was very efficient, and provided confidence that if I needed to store food overnight in a parked vehicle with the generator there would be no concerns. I cooled one side to -5F for freezing to store ice cream acquired from a location where I vacationed. I used my generator to hold temperature with occasional lid opening. The idle op temp held for 3 days moving the generator to 25% by the time I got home. (Ambient temp 60-70F). Ice cream frozen solid all that time. It would be easy to keep it longer with some cycles of running off an AC – DC outlet in a vehicle and charging the generator. One last thing, maybe the most important to me beside operational temps. The cooling system is very quiet, nearly silent when running on Idle mode. I love this Bodega refrigerator. No more ice. Perfect control. Great visible display. Configurable storage capacity.

Quiet, reliable and convenient. Not a current hog.
We bought this to replace a Peltier-type cooler we had for many years after it finally gave up the ghost. We wanted a compressor-type unit that would: 1. get really cold no matter the outside temp; and 2. would not be a current hog so it could be used with solar panels & a battery when needed. We also wanted something quiet. All three objectives met. We hit the camping trail in Michigan's upper penguin-insula ("Da U.P") for three weeks and left it plugged into the Durango's rear 12V outlet, which is only active when the car runs. To cover out-and-about ignition off-times, I simply filled the lower part of the freezer section with 6 or 8 blue ice blocks for a big thermal mass and set it fairly low. The cooler side was set to 38*F and filled with carbonated water cans. We had ice cold water at all times everywhere we went, (over 1500 miles...) and kept meats and cheese snacks cold in there as well. Kids loved it. At camp we plugged it into an extension cord using the AC power adapter included, so this unit ran nearly 24-7 for three weeks. The small amount of heat generated by the compressor was useful too, as it helped keep my Martin acoustic guitar (in a good case) from getting too cool in the car during nights that often touched 50 degrees. The compressor is whisper-quiet. Only niggle I noticed was the sensitivity of the touch-control panel - it beeps when disturbed and I felt like I could not work anywhere around it without setting it off inadvertently with some random body part. As a result I was often checking the display to make sure I had not accidentally changed a setting. [NOTE TO THE ENGINEERS:] It's a very very minor thing, but perhaps a "lock" function could be set up in the software on future versions such that you have to hold a key (or keys) for several seconds before adjustments can be made. I found the settings to be "set and forget", so locking them once set would just make sense. Seems to be well-made and it way-outperformed the Coleman Peltier-Junction unit it replaced. Freezing the ice blocks solid was never an issue during our trip. I bought the 2-year warranty, so we'll see how it fares on reliability over time. Pleasantly surprised. UPDATE AUG 2024. We took two trips this year with the cooler - one to Florida for spring break to see my parents, and one in July, a 3000-mile camping trip to Maine's Acadia National Park. In both cases the cooler remained inside our 2018 Durango, I just unplugged the unit's 12V cable and plugged in the included power supply's cable instead, and ran it overnight on 120VAC or anytime the car was parked. The Durango shuts power to the 12V lighter plug in the back whenever the car is off for a while, so running the battery down is not a concern. This kept nice cold seltzer water on hand and snacks too during our daily car trips. Still running like a champ. My kids love it as much as I do. Wish I could buy a dehumidifier that was this reliable...

Great addition to our Coach
We purchased this 5 years ago and it has worked great since day one! Very sturdy and sleek. It holds more than I thought it would. Temperature remains very constant and since it’s in a bay slide it uses less electricity. It also has an app so you can check the temperature of the unit from anywhere. I definitely highly recommend this product and their customer service answers right away!

Great portable car fridge, though handle broke
Bought the 50 L Bodega Cooler and really like it! Has a great amount of space and love the dual zone feature. We took the cooler on our last trip and it worked great. Easy to load into the car. App set up was not to challenging. Food kept cold. Not much more we could ask for. What was amazing was that when we had the fridge on ECO mode, it was barely drawing power from our ECO Flow Powerstation. This may have been due to us having it in just fridge mode (40 F) with ambient temperature's being around 55 F degrees. Really impressed by this! Unfortunately, while pulling the fridge to be loaded into the car for our second trip the handle broke. I noticed that a few review talked about the handle being a bit flimsy but tried to be careful not putting too much load on the handle. The carrying handles still work great, but really liked the option to pull behind us. I've reached out to the Bodega Service team to see if we can get a replacement. Will update my review if I hear back. Overall, great car fridge for anyone interested in not having soggy food and interested in an all in one fridge/freezer combo. Outside of the handle breaking, really great product!

Does the Job; Just Don’t Count on Support
I’ve had this cooler for about two years now and for the most part, it’s worked as expected. The dual-zone feature is genuinely useful; I like being able to keep meat frozen in one side while the other stays just cold enough for drinks and snacks. It’s been great for road trips, camping weekends, and even came in clutch as backup fridge space during a crowded holiday gathering. When it’s running, it cools quickly and holds temp pretty reliably, even when packed full. That said, it’s not without issues. After about a year, the extendable handle broke while I was wheeling it across the driveway with a full load. I wasn’t slamming it around or doing anything wild. These things happen, and honestly, I wasn’t mad about it. I expected to be able to buy a replacement handle. But despite several attempts to reach the manufacturer (emails, contact forms, etc) I never got a single response. Not one. So now I’ve got a 50-pound cooler that’s awkward as hell to move without the handle. Still usable, just a pain. It’s also louder than I expected. Not jet-engine loud, but you’ll notice it humming along, especially if it’s indoors or in a quiet campsite. For the price, I expected better support and a bit more durability. It’s a decent product when it works, but don’t count on any help if something goes wrong.

Very Nice and Versatile .
I've owned this unit for a fee years now. Although I only use it on the summer months on my boat it has worked great. Runs on 12vdc and 110ac with the supplied powwe supply. It holds separate temperatures very well. A nice app helps to control amd monitor it. Very good customer service aa well..

Handle broke 4th time I used it; no reply from customer service
I was going to be staying in a hotel and wanted to save money on eating out and wanted to eat more than PBJ. So I cooked and froze a ton of stuff and took this cooler with me to have cheap and healthy meals. I bought the 53Qt I think and it held enough food for a month (maybe more; I’m only at the end of week 3 and there’s plenty left). I did stuff it too tight during the trip so not everything stayed frozen (I inhibited air flow). I had it running continually for 2 1/2 weeks straight. The compressor is too noisy for me; would wake me up, but I am a light sleeper. It is still worth having this for the convenience. The temperature is not accurate but it’s within 8 degrees; my photos show I had the cooler on 21 degrees and what 3 other thermometers read. It does take 2-3 days to get up to freezer temperature. So if you will be going on a trip, plan accordingly prior to adding your food. It is not too heavy empty; I am a wimpywimp and could carry it up 2 flights of stairs empty. Update 19 October, 24. I used this last in August and the handle broke. I cannot find anywhere selling replacement handles, so I reached out to the customer service at Bodega’s website asking if they have replacement handles. Cooler cannot be carried without 2 handles and the one that broke is the one opposite the wheels, so it is necessary in order to be able to pull the cooler along. Will update review if they actually get back to me and have a replacement handle. That handle shouldn’t have broken so easily; It was full and I grabbed it to pull the cooler closer to the opening of my vehicle in order to unload it. Just that pulling it across a carepeted vehicle interior shouldn’t have been too much force to break a well made handle. Handle cracked in 2 pieces fourth time I used it; I only was able to use the cooler as intended a few months.

Works well
This cooler/freezer works well. No ice to deal with. You can use as a refrigerator/freezer or take out the middle panel and use it as a total refrigerator or freezer. It is a little heavy so that is my only issue.

So far so good and happy with my purchase.
March 2024 - Purchased - $376 CAD after taxes. Nice deal going on. 53QT / 50L So far so good as I've tested this for about 5 days so I can get a good handle on what this fridge / freezer can do. Tested on a Ecoflow 288WH battery pack and a 90AH AGM Marine battery with a 450W inverter. Day of arrival the Amazon delivery driver was holding the box upside down as he was walking for delivery. Let him know to use caution on holding it like this since it may mess up the compressor. Box clearly indicates this side up. At home I let the cooler sit for 24 hours before I tested it out to let the compressor settle. Day 1 - I hooked up the AC power cable into the cooler and tested it out on Max mode to see how long it would take a bottle of water to freeze at -11C. Fridge side was on 3C. Took around 3-4 hours to fully freeze up. Compressor is surprising quiet and you can barely hear it running. Let it run for a full 24 hours and checked the temps throughout the day. Temps seem to be off by a degree or two but still kept its temps very well. Day 2 - Unplugged the AC power cable and plugged into my 90AH AGM Marine Battery with a 450W Inverter and let it run for 2 full days. Continued to monitor temperatures and was operating well. Tested out ECO mode and again it held the temperatures very well. Only thing on eco mode is that the compressor will kick in more often I feel since its conserving power. No issue though. Day 3 - At the end of the day I unplugged the AGM Marine Battery and tested the voltage. Around 12.8V so its still around 90% capacity remaining. I estimate that with my AGM battery it would run the cooler for about 4-5 days. Day 4 - Plugged into my Ecoflow River 286WH model. Battery pack was at 92%. Decided to pull the centre divider and just use it as a fridge this time around at 3C. Nice function is that once you pull out the centre divider the cooler will notice it and will adjust the freezer with with the fridge side. After 12 hours of use on ECO mode at 3C the battery pack was at 34%. Could probably use the Ecoflow battery pack to run the cooler for about 20hours. A few things I didn't like about the cooler is the build quality of the plastic molds have some sharp edges and doesn't seem like they took their time at the factory in China. Doesn't really bother me though. Another thing is the cooler handles and wheels don't seem to be the strongest. The cooler is quite heavy and I don't think I will be dragging it around when its fully loaded. I would highly suggest that you remove the cages with the food inside before trying to lift it up by the handles and putting into any vehicle. Thankfully mine I won't have to move much since I am outfitting it into my Sprinter Van for camping and it won't see much movement. The cooler works well so far and I am excited to take it camping and not having to deal with any more ice melting. Its a pretty good product so far and and after researching for days on which cooler I should get I decided on this one. I didn't want to spend the extra money for a Dometic or other top tier brands. I've seen countless reviews on Youtube about these coolers from Amazon and everyone seems to have some pretty good results. As of today I am happy with my purchase and will update my review once if any issues arise when I go camping in the Spring / Summer season.

Perfecta opción
Funciona muy bien, el congelador puesto a -10 ya congela, tal vez la única pega que le pongo es que tiene mucho desfase el termostato,
