I have tried countless dry shampoos over the years, but the Batiste Light Zen Matcha formula has quickly become my absolute favorite for daily use. The most impressive feature is the truly invisible finish. I’m not necessarily the target audience for dry shampoo. My hair is on the dry side and it’s anything but thin, but I decide to give this a go because I heard it can be a make shift texture spray. I thought it was ok. Definetly not a replacement for texture spray; but it does help cut some of the heaviness that product build up can cause styles to weigh down. I try this on my scalp on the day before I wash (when it’s the closest thing to oily) and personally I didn’t notice a big difference. But I’d chuck this up to the fact that I’m not in need of this to begin with. The smell is lovely and the spray is strong and light. Definetly works as advertised.

Since coloring my hair, I have opted not to wash my hair daily and give it a break. This is great when your hair is feeling flat. This spray is great to give your flat hair some volume. It is easy to use and spray into the root area. Then you use your fingers to work it through your hair to fluff it out. It surprisingly gives your hair volume and feeling dry. I can use it a few days after a wash to extend not having to wash my hair for a week. (In the photos, you can see my morning bed hair, post dry shampoo, and after styling and working through hair.) The smell is really nice but it doesn’t work that well with my dark brown hair. They’re other one over does work for me, i think the cucumber smelling one.
