DaVinci Laboratories of Vermont Right Whey Protein, Vanilla, 30 Count

In reviewing earlier purchases of undenatured whey products, I usually refer to the cost, because some of these products are pretty pricey.Two that I had bought on amazon.com & reviewed were 300 & 306 gram each.When the price / oz is calculated, a pattern emerges.A clear "winner" appears after calculating the same value for "Right Whey Protein".Here are my figures:$3.27 / oz for ImmunoPro ImmunoPro costs .445¢ more per ounce than the next lower price product I bought on amazon.Less than $2.83 / oz for ImmunPlex ["less than" is a difference of 'less than' 1 cent per ounce.]Less than $1.28 / oz - Right Whey Protein, by DaVinci Laboratories "Right Whey Protein" is only $1.278 per ounce!, compared to $2.825 for ImmunPlex, or $3.27 for ImmunoPro.So based on price alone, "Right Whey Protein" is a HUGE bargain compared to the other two products. I had also tried another brand, but its taste was the least palatable, & it was higher priced than ImmunPlex or ImmunoPro.Since that brand is no longer available in the local Kroger's, I excluded it from this price comparison. In comparing the other characteristics, "Right Whey Protein" seems to be a great quality undenatured whey,It mixes fairly well, its taste is not 'bad', only too sweet because its sweetened with stevia [too much?], all of which are less relevant in light of the huge price differential.The "Right Whey Protein" is from New Zealand, where its illegal to use artificial genetically-modified bovine hormones, it has added fiber, and at the much lower price allows a 30+ gram serving size, about 3 times larger than the others.I recommend the "Right Whey Protein", and plan to buy it again.EDIT:At 04/27, I'm reviewing a couple of other whey products, one of which is even less expensive than the DaVinci Laboratories product.I hope to further update this in 2-4 weeks.

I struggled with whether to give this product a 4 or 5 star review, but settled on the 5, and here's why. First, I love the ingredients list of this product. Before purchasing this product in the vanilla flavor, I first tried this brand in the chocolate version (and the chocolate still remains my favorite) because of the clean ingredients list, the amount of protein per serving, the overall price, as well as the price per serving. I also love how creamy this smoothie is, and that I can easily mix fruits, nuts, etc. in with the vanilla flavor, and have a whole meal ready to go quickly. My one and only miniscule con, if it can even be called a con, is that the vanilla flavor in this isn't very noticeable. It does taste clean and good, but not overly vanilla. So depending on how vanilla-y you like your vanilla smoothies to be, this may sway you one way or the other. It didn't make a huge difference to me, so I decided to stick with a 5 star rating. Bottoms up & enjoy your smoothie!

I purchased this as a supplement because I have an awful habit of NOT eating breakfast & needed something to fill that void. I mix in a 1/4 cup of OJ & a banana, very tasty & filling but it "clogged" me up, not enough fiber for my system. I stopped drinking it & things returned to normal so I'm going to try again & add a some Benefiber, bulk it up a little so to speak. I hope that will work because this is a HUGE container of product & I don't want to waste it!

I love this protein. It is by far the best tasting protein I've tasted and is very easy to mix. My favorite way to use this protein is in my morning coffee as a creamer of sorts. Word of caution if you also decide to use this in your morning coffee; you must let the coffee cool down a bit or it will make it nearly impossible for the protein to mix. I like to add a few ice cubes to the coffee, to cool it down. Then add a tablespoon of coconut oil and then a scoop of protein, then I'm off to the gym.

I was very sad to read a caution on the container that this product contains lead! It also has a barcode on the container that has been altered. Another Barcode scanner has been placed over the original and it does not correspond to the product. I did give the distributor the opportunity to respond to theses issues. 10 days has gone by with no response. Disappointing for sure.

Tastes Great! Not chalky like many other protein drinks. I mix mine with frozen berries in the morning as a smoothie. One suggestion, mix the powder with your chosen liquid in a blender cup to let the powder dissolve well, then pour the liquid into the blender with your chosen fruits or veggies. It keeps me full about 5 hrs. Highly recommend.

I am potato intolerant , so this is the product for me. Love the flavor, how it mixes so well with everything or just alone. I have only tried the Vanilla, considered the plain for baking etc. but the downside of that is the increased price compared to the vanilla. Yes I would recommend this product,

Taste is good. Mixes well, easy to make up. Quality is good and the price is right. I like it.
