Polarized Sunglasses Clip on Glasses for Night Driving,Both Day and Night

My aging eyes are not so good for driving at night. Headlight look like sparklers. I tried these lense. They very slightly reduce the sparklers affect but also darken the scene overall as sunglasses would. The sparkler affect is annoying. The darkening affect is dangerous. I won’t be using these lenses.

I really enjoy these glasses clip on.

So the main reason I purchased these was due to the smaller clip-on mechanism. Others have a larger one that can be distracting. I just received these and, if they are polarized, it's certainly not apparent. The manufacturer even includes a test card that allows you to apparently see "...the beautiful pattern" when you put them on your glasses. I'm assuming that's to prove they are polarized, well, I don't see any pattern, so..... Also, with a pair of brand name sun glasses that I know for sure are polarized, I can see a pattern on the the rear window of my car. This is common with polarized lenses, they allow you to see the stress pattern that occurs when car glass is manufactured. I do not see that pattern with these clip ons. My conclusion is that these are probably not polarized.Update: after using these for the last few evenings I've found that they do work to reduce the glare of oncoming headlights. They would work better if the darker graduated, greenish tint started a bit higher. That way, the lighter tint would give better night viewing, but still filter out the usual headlight glare. If particularly bright headlights came into view, you would only need to tilt your head down slightly to accommodate them. I do like the darker tint at the top as it filters the brighter street lights, which are higher in the field of view due to their height. Additionally, the clip mechanism is a good size, small enough not to intrude into your vision. It would be nice if these could be made to flip up, without enlarging the clip mechanism. I still can't tell if these are truly polarized, but I am increasing my rating to 4 stars due to their effectiveness at reducing headlight glare without cutting out too much night-time visibility.
