Can't speak to longevity, which is always a concern with an hour meter with no replaceable battery. However, functionally - this one is better than any I've researched. And, I've looked at a ton of them.Most importantly, this unit has numerous resettable timers. I've three things I want to keep track of (engine oil, crankcase oil, air filter), and all of these have different maintenance intervals. This is the only timer I've found that can handle that many independent timers. Also, unlike other manufacturers that warn against it - cutting the wire is no problem on this one. I lopped almost half of it off and it works perfectly.

Easy to hook up. Gives you elapsed time in hours and minutes. have one on my zero turn and my boat.
