Il kit è estremamente solido ed adoro il nuovo piano con i t-slot, che rendono molto più facile e veloce bloccare il pezzo e consentono anche di usare altri tipi di bloccaggi compatibili con i t-slot. Unica nota negativa, nella confezione sono presenti due bulloni M5x30 che servirebbero in teoria a montare il pezzo denominato "Base Frame-3", ovvero l'interasse tra i due nuovi pezzi che servono per allungare l'asse X - ma la filettatura anziché essere triangolare è tonda, e non si avvitano correttamente sul pezzo (che ha una filettatura triangolare). Il problema si risolve facilmente in ferramenta, acquistando due nuovi bulloni - ma non è piacevole durante il montaggio trovarsi a lasciare tutto a metà per doverseli procurare. Inoltre, il manuale potrebbe essere un po' più chiaro, specialmente per quanto riguarda il cablaggio (vanno ridistribuiti un po' tutti i cavi e non è semplicissimo) e l'incastro della nuova base di fresatura (che ha una serie di incastri per cui, se non ci fate caso subito, vi trovate a dover smontare tutto e ricominciare da capo).

Back in early 2023 I purchased the Masuter pro as my first CNC kit. I ran the upgraded 300 watt spindle with it in its 4040 configuration for years. It had its flaws but overall expanded my woodworking capabilities tenfold and paid for itself over time. I mainly carve domestic and exotic hardwoods on these machines, on the higher end of the janka hardness scale. Fast forward to today as I finally decided to pull the trigger on the Masuter 3S along with the 8040 extension kit. I can’t tell you how impressive this machine is, compared to the Masuter pro. Granted my only frame of reference in desktop CNC’s is these two machines, the value for the money was the biggest selling point for me. The Masuter 3S is very well built, the gantry is robust, the stepper motors are huge and the entire machine is much more powerful and silent. The extension kit is dead flat and strengthens up the rigidity of the frame even more. It’s heavy when assembled which overall took me under 2 hours to get everything perfect the way I wanted it. This included extending the drag chain and eliminating all slack in the wiring harness, transferring the X and Z axis assembly to the new larger gantry, and tensioning the belt for it. Instructions are very detailed and much better compared to the old ones. They do leave some things to be desired but overall if you have some basic knowledge of how the machine operates or are mechanically inclined, you’ll be fine. Shipping was fast and it’s packaged extremely well, with each piece cast into its own foam liner inside the box for extra protection. The machine arrived in a day, and the extension in 2 days. I honestly wish I wouldn’t have waited so long to upgrade as it’s night and day compared to the Masuter pro. A catch-all tray that would normally take me 5 hours to carve on the old machine, can be carved in just over an hour now on the Masuter 3S. I plan to upgrade to the 1.5kw spindle for this machine, but the included 400 watt spindle is more than capable for hardwoods. If your budget is around $500 for a desktop machine, just wait and save up to buy this one. It does not disappoint!

Also ich habe diese Verlängerung ca. 1 Jahr in Gebrauch und muss sagen, sehr stabil. Die Klemmen zum Halten des Werkstück hingegen sind nicht so geeignet, dass hätte man besser lösen können
