T12 soldering iron tip

These tips work great and really hold up to the higher temperatures needed for the EU lead-free soldering environment. They do require tip tinning to keep them clean, so you do need to invest is a can of tip tinner.

These work great on my Hakko FX-951, and are a lot cheaper.

I love the fact that they seem well built, even though they are not official hakko tips(judging from the price). For what you pay they seem to do the job. Sadly I can not attest to strength of the tips as my stations as not arrived but I love that they seem well made.

Contacts are one of the primary considerations when it comes to this type of changeable soldering tip. If the contacts are too far out of alignment the iron will never heat and is unusable until the white material is trimmed from the contact end of the tip. The other 3 considerations are the ability of the tip to maintain viability over time, length of time for the tip to come to proper heat and hold temperature and lastly accuracy of the thermal couple in the tip. The thermocouple will come to heat set faster than the tip will reach the temperature. The tip usually lags by at least 30 seconds and maybe a bit more if there is a large thermal area to bring to heat. These tips are as fast as any I have worked with to come up to working temperature.

The media could not be loaded. It works! There have been a lot of people looking for soldering tips that will work in the Tokego 980E. I took a chance and bought these and they fit and work perfectly. Hope this helps others that have this device and list the tip.

These tips kinda worked in my Ksger unit in that they did heat. But they were impossible to keep at a specific temps, wildly fluctuating +/- 50C and causing my soldering unit to display ERROR on the screen. Unusable for temperature sensitive applications. The original (knockoff t12) tip that came with the Ksger does not exhibit this behavior. Too late for a return so these went right in the trash.

I have never gotten true hakko tips but these are great so far. I over use them and Im not great at taking care of solder tips and they still all work. I'll update this review if/when i have any issue.

I brought these tips for my TSGWR -T12, because these tips are longer than my original tips, its cause the error, I have to use the sand paper to make the tips shorter then no more error. The second thing I have to do is re-calibrate the tips, then it’s worked.
