Loaded with sugar! Beware if pet is diabetic!
Bought this for one of my senior cats who has lost alot of weight due to thyroid disease. So far, my cat is tolerating the paste and seems to like the flavor. . Not sure if it will help with her weight loss, but if anything, it has perked her up! I expect the weight gain will take some time due to her illness, but I do see improvement after only a few doses and her appetite has improved. The only concern I have with this product is that my veterinarian said it's loaded with corn syrup and molasses, which is not good for diabetic pets or pets with renal issues.

A miracle in a bottle
One of my cat's health took a turn I didn't like so I've been determined to keep her from going downhill any further. When she was only 2 years old, I almost lost her, took her to the vet, they couldn't find anything wrong with her yet she seemingly had given up on life. I somehow managed to bring her back to life by feeding her bisque through a syringe but it was touch and go for weeks. I didn't want to get to that point so I have been doing everything in my power to be proactive. She's still eating and using the litter box but she's been struggling with regulating bowel movements. They're either too firm or too loose which confirmed my suspicions, she must be dehydrated. Her pads had been extremely dry feeling like sand paper so I went looking for something that would help with hydration but also with her calorie deficit. Once I saw this product's description and the good reviews, I figured I'd give it a try, one of my cats is bound to like it if Sasha doesn't. I also picked up a bag of probiotic treats for gut health to go along with this and I couldn't be happier, Sasha has taken to them both. I can barely get it squeezed onto my finger before she's climbing into my lap to get to it. Even my picky eater loves it so I have already signed up for a subscription of this stuff so I never run out of it. Nothing has done what this stuff has done and that's made my cat's pads soft to touch, that alone makes this stuff a miracle in a tube. Well worth the price, just wish it was a little cheaper or there was a bigger tube of it.

Stuff really works!!!
Let me just say, I don’t leave reviews often, but I had to this one time. My 1yoa Himalayan has a food allergy where if she eats chicken her herpes acts up. Her eyes get swollen and she becomes lethargic. I have a few cats so if I’m not quick enough with cleaning, and she grabs one of their kibble, the process begins a few days later. After numerous times going to vets/specialists, eye creams and most importantly fluids, they came across Under the Weather. This stuff peps her up immediately! When I see her eyes start to get red, she gets her meds and a dab of this stuff and she’s running through the house talking! No more running to the vet for lethargy, it really gives her energy and helps keep her hydrated. No stomach or litter box issues. I’ll never be without this stuff, it has a lot of vitamins and minerals and is worth having on hand. Good for the senior pets too. Very happy I found this product!

decent
i’m not sure if this electrolyte gel did all the work, but it definitely seemed to help my two cats when they were sick. my first cat, nori, got really dehydrated after not drinking enough water and started throwing up, which made the dehydration worse and she started refusing food. my second cat, kimchi, had tummy issues after his neuter surgery and refused to eat, eventually getting dehydrated too from vomiting and diarrhea. i gave them this gel along with some multivitamins and food additives, and i’m pretty sure the electrolytes helped with rehydration. both cats started feeling better after a couple of days. the only downside is the flavor and smell. it kind of smells like prunes, and neither of my cats liked it, so i had to give it to them using a small medication syringe. overall, it’s not the most pleasant product to administer, but it seems to work when hydration is a concern. definitely worth having on hand for emergencies.

Extremely thick and sticky
Bought this because my cat has some mouth sores and can only eat soft things but wasn’t getting much nutrients from the soft treat pouches. This is so thick and sticky like heavy toothpaste that she couldn’t lick it up or get it off her teeth. Couldn’t even get it to spread to mix with something else. If your pet is ill this is quite a lot of effort for them to to try to lick up. Can’t return it due to food safety. Waste of money.
