Excellent slicing variety for salads or hamburgers. Red Burdy is a short day variety suitable for Southern regions. Resistant to botrytis and pink root. Red Burdy onion is a great keeper. Stores well. Red Burdy onions produce large flattened globes 3 to 4 inches in diameter that are beautiful for slicing! Very mild and sweet flavor! This is a short day variety that matures in 95 to 165 days depending upon ing time, location and climate. Average water needs. Water regularly, but don't over water. While starting of the Red Burdy Onion is not necessarily difficult, the right conditions will make the process successful. Sow Red Burdy Onion directly in the ground in the spring when the threat of frost has passed or start in containers several weeks before transing into soil.
