I really like this hair color and will never return to traditional color again. No more burning scalp or awful chemical smells. I add one capful of this to dark blonde to tone down the red in my hair. While it does tone it down quite a bit there is still a lot of red. I did call the master colorist at the company to see what color she would recommend and what to do to tone down the red. She is a very helpful lady and if you have any doubt about what you're doing give her a ring first before buying. Thank you Herbatint for making such a great product that doesn't burn my scalp!

Used this almost exactly a year ago. My hair became brittle and I’ve been dealing with breakage and thinning ever since I used this. I have long hair and never had issues previously. The funniest thing is, it did not cover the few gray hairs I have which is one of the things listed as a benefit. No changes to my diet or lifestyle, so I can confidently say this ruined my hair.

Love the color of this Ash Blond. It turned my hair a light brown which is what I wanted. However, after one washing with a gentle, organic shampoo, the color was much lighter. After two or three shampoos, my hair was brassy yellow. This hair dye is gentle on the scalp and hair, but color does not last, even though I now only wash my hair every 3 days rather than every night. Have switched to Madison Reed light ash brown which doesn't fade as quickly and does not turn brassy. It is twice the cost, but well worth the money. And, it is even more gentle on my scalp and hair.
