Pure Original Ingredients, Guar Gum Powder, 8 Oz

I started using this Guar Gum and carrageenan powder to improve the texture of homemade soft serve, and the results have been excellent. It creates a much creamier consistency and helps keep the ice cream smooth instead of becoming icy. A very small amount goes a long way, so the container should last quite a while. If you enjoy making homemade frozen desserts, this is definitely worth trying.

This guar gum is excellent quality—fine, smooth, and blends perfectly into recipes. I use it for smoothies, sauces, and gluten-free baking, and it works just as expected. A little goes a long way, so the bag lasts quite a while. It dissolves easily without clumps and doesn’t affect the flavor of what I’m making. I love that it’s pure, clean, and free from additives. Definitely a great value for anyone who likes natural, simple ingredients!

I ordered this when I saw a recipe for making "Easter Egg appetizers" using egg shells emptied, guar gum poured in the hole after stuffing the shell with goodies like strawberries and mint. One of the grandkids liked them. Everybody else politely tried them but did not finish. They were awful. This stuff does not set up soft. It sets up like rubber that crumbles. Has not real flavor. I don't know, it was my first time using this product so I will read and experiment. There had better be other uses that I can use this on, otherwise it was a waste of time and effort. The reason for the 4 stars is that it did its job, the execution was spot on, but I think the recipe was from someone with this needing to use it and became creative, but for me was a failure. It did what it was supposed to, but my family and I didn't like it.

This stuffs awesome... Very little makes things very thick, water>gel>paste the more you add Secret lubricant? 😏
