Seals Tight and Wipes Clean
Seals Tight and Wipes Clean This Rectorseal T Plus 2 pipe thread sealant has been a rock-solid choice for plumbing projects. It spreads easily out of the tube with a thick, paste-like consistency that clings well to threads without running. I liked that it set up quickly but still gave me enough working time to make adjustments when threading fittings together. Once cured, it provides a leak-free seal that’s stood up to both hot and cold water lines without issue. What really sets it apart is the cleanup—excess wipes away neatly and doesn’t leave a sticky mess on your hands or tools. The white finish makes it easy to see coverage, and it doesn’t harden in the tube between uses like some sealants I’ve tried. So far, I haven’t had a single drip or seepage where I used this, which gives confidence in long-term reliability. One thing to keep in mind: it is thick, so a little goes a long way. You don’t need to glob it on; a modest bead is enough for a solid seal. Bottom line: A dependable, easy-to-use thread sealant that delivers clean, long-lasting results. A must-have for plumbing repairs and installations.

Price, performance and ease of use
I purchased this primarily for a showerhead installation, as I have limited plumbing skills and Teflon tapes just don't do it for me. I was pleasantly surprised by this product - the following are the best parts: 1. Ease of use. Just apply and it does the job. No messing around with Teflon tapes. 2. Performance: forms a nice, watertight seal on application with just the minimum quantity. For the showerhead, I had 4 connections to make - one for the main water distribution, two, to the main showerhead and two more for the handheld. I used pea sized dabs for each and was able to install in one go. 3. Price- very affordable. One con (maybe) - slightly difficult to remove from fingers. I recommend gloves for using this. Highly recommend for purchase.

A bunch of goop, but works wonders...
Despite how much I hate applying this stuff, this is the only stuff that works pretty much every time I put it on a connection unless I forgot to put some in the backside of a thread. This time around, I was trying to seal some couplings to my water heater by using PFTE tape only, but only to have to take it apart again once the connections started leaking. Instead of using PFTE tape, I just slapped a liberal amount of this goop on the threaded connections and then tighten the connections back up. No leaks! Some people say the connections are stronger when both are being used, but I never really had issues with just using this compound by itself. Since this sealant does not dry up and stays pretty much goopy at all times, it does get pretty much everywhere (on the connections, on your hands, on your shirt, etc), especially if you applied a liberal amount on the connections. It has a consistency that is similar to petroleum jelly, so it's not something that can just be washed off with water (although it does rinse out slightly easier than petroleum jelly would). If you are going to be working with this, make sure you are wearing clothing you do not care too much for. One good side to this goopiness is that it serves to lubricate the connections so that if you happen to want to undo the connections in the future it does not get frozen or stuck. I think this is a good buy considering that it works every time and that it is also cheaper on Amazon compared to what I can get in the local hardware shop.

Perfect Seal Every Time! 🛠️
I recently got my hands on the Rectorseal 23710 T Plus Pipe Thread Sealant, and I’ve got to say, it’s a game-changer for my DIY projects! Compared to other sealants I’ve used, this one is in a league of its own. 💪 First off, it’s super easy to apply. The consistency is just right—not too thick, not too runny. It spreads smoothly on the threads and provides a perfect seal every time. I’ve used other products that were either a mess to work with or didn’t hold up under pressure. But with Rectorseal, I’ve had zero leaks, even with high-pressure water lines. 🚿 What really sets it apart is its versatility. Whether you’re working with PVC, metal, or even CPVC pipes, this sealant gets the job done. I’ve tried a few other brands before, but none of them offered the same level of performance across different materials. Plus, it’s resistant to all sorts of chemicals, which is a big plus for those of us dealing with various fluids in our projects. 🔧 Also, it doesn’t harden or crack over time, which means I can trust my connections to stay secure for the long haul. For anyone who’s serious about plumbing or any kind of pipework, Rectorseal 23710 is a must-have in your toolkit. Highly recommend! 🌟
