It was super easy to get hair-like strokes. To keep the beginning of the line thin just hold the tube farther back and apply with a light touch in a short flicking motion. It dries quickly and is resistant to smudging. I rubbed decently hard with my finger and the product stayed in place. I didn't do any prep to my brow area before applying this product except for wiping the area with water and drying it. The lines stayed crisp after drying and didn't blur out like some products tend to. There is no noticeable smell, you can't feel the product on your brows/skin after you apply it and it dries matte. The sealant that it comes with doesn't have any noticeable smell either and doesn't feel tacky or hard after it dries. Also, neither product leaves any gloss or shine on the skin once they dry. Everything is nice and matte and feels like there's nothing there. This pen has given me the most realistic results I have ever received from these types of products.
