Is this an "afternoon" tea because there is less caffeine than Brodie's Breakfast?

It is considered to have milder flavor (compared with the breakfast tea). The manufacturer doesn't specify the caffeine levels and they don't currently offer a caffeine free tea.

What is the optimal steeping time and temperature?

Temperature should be boiling hot; if the water is hot enough, you'll only need to step for 3 minutes or so for good, strong tea. Enjoy!

I love my scottish afternoon tea. how does edinburgh tea compare to it?

I first bought this in Edinburgh after having it at high tea in the afternoon - it’s by far my favorite (and I’m a avid tea person!)

Hands down my favorite tea. The tea has a lovely fragrance and taste. I have not purchased another brand of tea since having found Brodie's.
