I bought a cover from Amazon that was great initially. It was an elastic plastic material and covered the fob preventing the trim from snagging on things and doing more damage. Last week I needed to replace the batteries in my fob. While removing this cover it tore in several places as well as snapping a portion near the key ring opening completely off. I decided to get this new metal key fob cover which completely encased the fob. So far, a much better decision. I can not see how this metal key fob case will break during removal to change batteries. It does increase the overall size of the fob, but well worth it considering the added protection and longevity this one should provide.
