Hi! does anyone know if this filter is the one vw provides when you buy your car new? if not, what brand does vw use? i have a 2012 golf btw. thanks

If you want to pay 10times the price go to your VW dealer and buy the oem filter the Fram filter is fine.

Does this work for my 2013 jetta 2.5 ?

It works/fits in my MK6 (non TDI) Golf with a 2.5 engine. The Golf should share the same engine/accessories with the Jetta. In the US the MK6 designation applied to model years 2009-2014 (actually the MK5 uses the same 2.5 engine too). Some months ago, I noted that the Amazon fitment/compatibility charts suddenly no longer showed parts that I had been successfully using for many years. Don't know what they changed, but it's NOT working for me! I just checked the FRAM parts compatibility site and 10085 is listed for Jettas from 2005-2014.
