ACTUALLY waterproof!!
I work in aquatics and teach a lot of swim lessons. One of my weaknesses, that hasn’t improved over the years of experience, is time management, so I went looking for a timer/alarm to help. I needed something that was easy to set with wet hands (no teeeeeeny tiny buttons), that counted down, that had a solidly loud alarm (needed to hear it from a few yards away, over moderate noise of indoor pool including kiddos, pool gutter, and HVAC), and ACTUALLY WATERPROOF. Not “water resistant,” not “waterproof - unless submerged” — something I could accidentally drop in the pool, leave for some minutes if needed, and still come out working. I couldn’t find a wristwatch to fit my needs that was low cost and I don’t like watches much anyway (sensory issues). Enter: this timer. After months of daily use, I am happy to share this timer holds up. I do usually have it on the edge of the pool during class, not submerged constantly, but it does frequently submerge for minutes at a time. (I often put it in my pocket while I’m in the pool or accidentally drop it to the bottom.) It lives at the pool, so it doesn’t have a chance to sit somewhere cool and dry when it’s not in use. None of this has deterred it. The buttons are large and easy to read and press. They aren’t very tactile, but the timer does beep every time you press one, so there is confirmation the button actually worked. The alarm itself is loud enough I can hear it anywhere from 15 yards away (on a lower noise day) to 3 yards (noise loud enough I can’t hear myself think). If I and the timer are submerged, I can hear the alarm within at least 5 feet. It manages to be easily audible but does NOT scare or overwhelm me either, which is a huge plus. The one thing that may be of concern to some is the magnet on the back. Being a magnet, it has completely rusted over and a top layer definitely fell away. The magnet DOES still work, just as well as when it arrived. But I know rust stains can be a pain, so that is something to look out for. If and when this guy gives out (or a particularly intense toddler finally manages to crack it), I’ll update this review. For now, it works wonderful and does exactly what I need very well. ETA: Updating to say the timer did fail about two months ago. (I believe it was largely because the 8yo I let regularly borrow it always held it submerged, for 30+ mins at a time.) One and then eventually most of the buttons stopped working. There was a rattling noise from inside the timer also, but this was there before the buttons failed. So I suspect something(s) internal rusted. All this said — it had a great run and I have gladly purchased two more (one for each pool I teach at). But I should probably label mine since I’ve seen other aquatics professionals using the exact same timer recently! 😅

Works Great — Survives a Lot (Until It Doesn’t)
I bought this for my daughter to help limit shower time, especially since we’re on a septic system at our cabin. It works really well and is easy for her to use. This is our third one only because it keeps getting dropped in the tub. Eventually it will break if you drop it enough, but until then it lasts a long time and does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

Great Shower Tool
If you have shampoos or other things to time when showering, this is a tool you never thought you needed. But you do. Convenient and absolutely waterproof. Ships without a battery or it would have gotten 5 stars. You’ll need a 2032 battery for it to operate.

Definitely a great buy
I waited to post a review, because I wanted to ensure the feedback was accurate. Magnet: super, does not slide around on the fridge but holds well. Even when you’re pressing the buttons it’s steadfast. It is a small magnet, but it does the job. Readability: it’s visible and easy to read. I think this is a good size for the timer clock. Waterproof: we have this in the shower. The one we have in the shower does not leave the shower in a multi person home, and the bathroom really holds humidity and doesn’t vent well. So it’s taking some heavy water use, but still not the same as a pool. However I’m not showing any rust or any issues at all and it works perfect for our need! Really wonderful execution. Only drawback, in my opinion, is there is no way to turn it off- it’s always on. I love the options for the timer settings, and the quick buttons to add time, but why is there not an auto sleep function, and a wake button or just a setting where when you do press a button it wakes up the device? Either way this is a very successful and very durable waterproof timer and works great in the kitchen for cooking as well! (I bought 2 of these).

Alarm virtual
Although the device functions as a stopwatch and a countdown unit, the alarm for the countdown is virtually silent. This make it worthless as a countdown timer unless you want to tape it to your ear. I purchased a new battery to see if that would help but it made no notable difference. Its not worth the trouble to return it. I write this review to help others from making the same mistake.

Third purchase - great for kiddo shower timing!
We use a Velcro command strip to mount these on the wall opposite the shower head. High enough it’s out of most spray, low enough for 4 year olds to push the button. Our first worked beautifully til a child ripped it off and it was fully submerged. But now they know not to do that. Simple, effective, helpful in a house with 6 people! The one pictured moved with us. Just bought another so we could put one in the second bathroom the older kiddos have started to use. So long as you are strategic with placement, they seem to work well and for a long time.

Great for the gym
I’ve had this for over three years and I used it to time my rest between sets at the gym. I used it every single set and every single session (5-6 days per week). The magnet and stand are such an awesome feature for the gym, as well as the way it automatically resets the timer to what you last had it set on. That way you can just click start to begin the countdown rather than resetting the timer over and over. Of course the repetitive beeping noise would be extremely annoying in the gym, so I took it apart and snipped one of the wires. This eliminated the sound. YouTube “How to silence a kitchen timer” if you’re interested in doing the same. I’m writing this review because after years of dropping it, kicking it, stepping on it, etc. the display finally died. Tried a new battery, wasn’t the problem. Pretty sure it was the original battery, too, which is awesome. Overall a fantastic product that I’d recommend any day!

Good product but STOPPED WORKING after 2 months
It worked GREAT for the past two months but recently stopped working altogether. The timer was loud enough and readible but even with battery replacement it doesn’t work. The size is perfect and the buttons work great so if this product still worked it would have been 5 starts for me!
