Euro-style goodness
The biscuit is what I expected from an across the pond product- mildly sweet (think European sweet, not American sugary sweet). Ideally suited for dunking. The filling was also mildly sweet (think yogurt vs. ice cream). If you like Euro-style treats (like me), try these.

A step above your regular biscuit
So good. So rich but not sweet. Amazing with my mid morning tea.

Mislabelled bulk box, but great item!
5 stars for the item. Note: my box was unfortunately mislabelled (outside says hazelnut, inside is the variety pack). I don’t know if this was a one off situation, or if I’m good to order another box to get the one I really want. Amazon did resolve this issue with me for the box I received, so I can’t complain too much- but maybe open the bulk box as soon as it arrives if your heart is set on a specific flavor. The interior boxes were clearly labelled so it’s not a guessing game or a hazard per se. :) When these first popped up in stores, I was a bit skeptical- having tried a lot of the “healthy breakfast” items. Sometimes these types of items basically taste like cardboard. Sometimes they’re not as healthy as they appear. But these breakfast bars are good! The nutrition info, compared to the cereal I normally eat was at least a little healthier (more protein, lower sugar). They are made with whole grains- spelt, lupine, barley, and oat), so you get the benefit of fiber (there’s some prebiotic inulin and flax in here too). Some people can be a bit sensitive to spelt, lupine, and inulin- something to be aware of esp if you’re someone who has had to know what FODMAP stands for at some point (lol). What are they like - crunchy/crumbly (not chewy), icing reminds me of the texture of like an orea double-stuffed cookie. I’ve personally tried 3 flavors, the hazelnut is my favorite. I like that they’re clearly labelled with extra dietary info, vegan, dairy free & kosher (the one I can’t eat is kosher dairy). The packaging is ancient greek inspired and charming. Branding is strong and consistent. I’m hoping the price point will come down at some point, but for now for a quick breakfast or healthy snack option (even a nice desert alternative) these are feeling like a nice option. I will definitely buy again, but may opt to have them from in store next time!

What are you eating???
I thought I was buying a safely made product with no American sugar (because of it typically being processed with a whitener made of charred animal bones) but in carefully reading the ingredients after purchase, I found that Olyra Breakfast biscuits are made with erythritol, a sugar substitute that can cause clotting and strokes. No thank you!
