is this better then chapstick

Yes it is, it relieves dry chapped lips quick with their beeswax and peppermint numbing sensation!! I used Carmex back in the late 80’s, regular brand chapstick for 25 years, and then switched to Burt’s around 2014. I started with this line here that is based on beeswax, vitamin E, and peppermint and I never looked back. My only mistake was that I thought all of there their lip balms were based on the same major ingredients with some flavors and I found that their moisturizing lip balms are more sunflower seed oil based than they are beeswax and instead of penetrating my lips for the relief I’m looking for I find that it feels like someone just took a mechanics grease gun and shellacked my lips with flavored oil slick. Soon after the slick has gone I have to lube up again and if you really have chapped lips it sucks. So now I just make sure to keep an eye on my stash of my Burts beeswax lip balms and make sure I’m not getting low because buying them in bulk pays off in the end. Good Luck!

Does anyone know if Burt's Bees make a 'peppermint oil' free lip balm? (I am severely allergic)

I use the Ultra Conditioning burt's bees flavor because peppermint oil irritates my lips as well. Ultra Conditioning works well for me.

My favourite lip balm

Best scent, just a little cooling but not a lot of flavour that could affect eating/drinking. Not too heavy or oily, but not so light that it needs constant reapplying. I can’t live without Burt’s Bees!

WHO PUTS PEPPERMINT IN LIP BALM?! IT BURNS!!!

IT BURNS SO BAD!!!! 😭😭😭 The moment I put one dab of this on, my mouth was on COLD FIRE! My lips needed to be scrubbed with salt scrub to get rid of the burning!! Who the hell puts PEPPERMINT IN A LIP BALM?! If you're that desperate to cool down during the summer, this will probably give you a cold placebo effect to help, but OH DEAR GODS, DON'T WEAR THIS!! IT HURTS LIKE HELL!!! (No, I'm not allergic to peppermint. It's just THAT strong)
