Yes, this is a dog lead, but it offers versatility with options to set at various lengths, and different ways of using it - i.e., around the shoulder for hands-free walking (I don't think i'll be using this option but can see the advantage!)The lead is of a strong fabric and looks really well made - the metal clips and rings are of study size and design.One detail I really like is the loop/handle sown in to the lead at the 'collar' end to provide closer control should it be needed.I purchased this with the Mikki Anti-Pull Reflective Harness and the combination of the two has transformed the dog walking experience for me and my dog!Buy with confidence.

Good range of options on the length. Works well and is easy to use to control an excitable Lakeland Terrier. A second use is to wear it over your shoulder and connect one end through the grip on an extendable auto-rewinding lead. That way if the dog suddenly "takes off" and pulls the lead out of your hand, then you are still attached to the dog :-) Also it is easy on your hands as its wide enough to grip with your free hand without getting any "rope burns", unlike a retractable long lead......

Fantastic product for using with the Mikki anti pull harness. These items have totally transformed my dog walking experience for the better. I can't believe my miniature schnauzer has finally stopped pulling. And the bonus is that the lead can be used to walk my 2 schnauzers at the same time. Absolutely brilliant. Highly recommend. I love it.

This is a good strong lead that is very versatile. I found it to be a good training lead and also use it for walking 2 dogs together.
