Salud 2-in-1 Energy + Focus Drink Mix, Cherry Lime

Cherry Lime energy drinks are apparently really delicious! I have tried about four flavors by this company and they have all impressed me. I love the guava one and there is a fruit punch one and one that tastes like grapefruit. I can't wait to drink a cherry lime drink again! Maybe tomorrow! The ingredients seem great and you get a good value for your money by mixing the packets in your own water. I find drinking these energy drinks is far more economical than buying cans. Plus I prefer the ingredients and there is less sugar plus the energy is more clean and does not make me jittery. I'd say these energy drinks were effective in producing the desired effect of more alertness and focus. I read a really intense book today and understood all of it and was able to focus well! The B vitamins also seem calming. So enjoy these drinks. I think one per day is enough! I am not a doctor, nor is this review medical advice. I feel less anxiety when drinking these energy drinks. Almost like it calms me and I don't think much about negative things. I really enjoy drinking this product. The flavor taste wonderful and since its sugar free there is no bad aftertaste. I also enjoy that vitamins in the drink mix that contribute to a more natural energy, so you do get that jittery feeling. Even though this product was energy mix i felt hydrated during my workout.

This is so good, doesn’t taste like a water shake packet. No weird powder taste. Love these 200mg of caffeine to keep this night shift ER nurse going. Very expensive though but still cheaper than coffee or individual energy drinks.

I have been an energy drinker for many years. I never have more than one can in a day and if I’m having coffee, I don’t have energy drinks. For me, a small over 50 woman, if I drink an energy drink, I drink one 8.4oz sugar free can and that’s enough energy for me as it’s only 80mg. When I saw this has 200mg of caffeine, I decided to just put 25% into a 12oz water bottle and try it first. I didn’t really feel anything so next I tried the other 75% of the packet in a 16 oz water bottle. TBH, I was afraid it might be too much caffeine for me as it’s over 2.5 times the caffeine as my usual energy drink. I’m doing ok so far and don’t have any jitters and feel focused working. Also, the flavor is part of why I started with only 25% in my drink. Unfortunately it smells and tastes a bit fake for me. I can smell it standing away while I put water in the bottle. The color also is too pink for me and it looks like food coloring or dye even though there is none in the packet. Maybe use less powder for a lighter color? Just thinking out loud... In the end, the drink powder dissolves very easily and when done, there is minimal residue on the bottom and sides of the bottle like there is with some powder drinks. While I was ok with the drink after I finished the larger bottle, I am a little concerned with the ingredients. It may not have saturated fat, cholesterol or a lot of sodium or sugar added, but it does have a few ingredients that in my opinion are not great, as does my other energy drink so I don’t want to be a hypocrite. I don’t believe any of these are clean and/or healthy choices but with so many energy drinks out on the market, Salud may be a better choice than many out there. You do your own research and decide for yourself as all foods affect people differently depending upon their own situation’s. For instance, it states ‘no artificial colors or dyes’ but has artificial flavors. Again, do your own research. I suppose I can get used to it but I don’t think I will use a full packet nor will I drink more than 1 packet worth over 3 days but that’s just me. For things to be good in our lives, we have to be disciplined in how we use products. If you’re worried about the amount of caffeine in this drink, discuss it with your doctor. Ultimately, there are some flaws to get used to but overall, compared to competitor products, it's probably one of the better for you energy drinks with your doctor's blessing : )

I emptied one in a half gallon water bottle and it’s still too sweet. I have to empty a quarter or half of a packet.
