Box containing 12 Regelle appicators, 36 days supply. Regelle is a vaginal gel intended for the symptomatic relief of vaginal atrophy, dryness, itching, anti-irritation & discomfort. Regelle is not intended for use as a substitute for hormone replacement therapy (HRT), but it is a non hormonal alternative where oestrogen therapy is not indicated. It may be given concomitantly with HRT for the symptomatic relief of vaginal atrophy. Multiple applications of the gel result in a change of pH towards the normal physiological range of premenopausal women. Regelle is designed to bind to the vaginal epithelial cells and maintain hydration, leading to an improvement in vaginal fluid volume, moisture and elasticity without changing vaginal mucosal Cytology. Review: This product may not work for everyone, but it has worked for me following the menopause. I had been at my wits end with vaginal dryness and painful intercourse, and I had tried all the better known things, including HRT creams, pessaries etc, which made me ill or sore. In the end, I was despairing, when I found this. As I say, it works for me, (I am 53), and it does what it says on the box. One application lasts for up to two days; I find, and it does contribute to solving vaginal dryness and itchiness, as well as preventing urine infections, which I was prone to before discovering it, provided it is used regularly. One great thing about it is that it comes in single one use applications, which I find more hygienic than say other ones on the market that oblige you to constantly sterilise a single applicator. (This has caused urine infections for me in the past and didn't work for me). The only draw back is it is quite expensive, but to me worth every penny. You may find you could get it on prescription, if you consult your GP, if you try at it, like it, but feel you can't afford it. I regularly order the pack of 12, as it lasts a while. Review: I've used this now for around 6 weeks. It's easy to use, it's not messy, and it does the job. The only downside are the single use plastic applicators which are going to create a an long lasting environmental problem. If a reusable applicator was available it would have been 5 stars. Good product.
