They cook up beautifully in a crock-pot after an overnight soak in water. - After cooking, these Black Beans have a creamy consistency and a delicious flavor profile that is earth, slightly sweet, fruity, and slightly herbally. - Great to cook and have on hand as a side dish or main dish for any meal. Review: Great beans - My diet includes a variety of different beans every day. I have never met a bean I didn't love. These black beans are excellent quality. They are fresh and intact. Nothing was broken. No pebbles or rocks, and they were very clean, but I still always sort and rinse beans well before using them. I soak them overnight and then pressure cook them for five minutes and I use a natural release. I love to spread black beans on well toasted Ezekiel bread with pure, natural peanut butter and strawberry preserves. It's a heavy dose of fiber, protein, whole sprouted grains, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants ... and it tastes delicious. It's my go to lunch. I also love to spread them on well toasted Ezekiel bread with whipped no salt cottage cheese that I make in my food processor with tomato powder and a variety of spices and herbs. They are delicious beans. They're the perfect texture and very reasonably priced. Dry beans are always a great value for the money and they are so nutritious. I'm not a fan of canned beans. Dry beans you cook yourself taste so much better, and they are much cheaper. I also like to cook from dry to control the salt in my diet. I don't salt beans or any food I eat, but obviously that's a personal preference and it's not the same for everyone.

A: All dried beans including dried black beans can be softened and cooked in various ways. .... The easiest/quickest is by pressure cooking them.  Or they can be cooked in the oven or on the stovetop in only 20-30 min longer than if soaked (often starting with boiling water).  Or they can be pre-soaked and then cooked afterwards (quick-soaked by boiling for 1-2 min then letting sit for an hour; or regular soaked by soaking in water at least 4-6 hours).... I used to have these on AutoShip subscribe and save, but they always arrived and busted bags inside of a box, now I buy them one bag at a time, they are delicious. I love these beans. They last forever great taste. Every so often sure the bag is busted because it’s crammed in with other items but usually it arrives OK and I cook them and they are delicious. My family loves them.
