Does this support hdcp 2.2 (even if only at 4k/30?)?

Compatible with devices such as Blue-ray, DVD/HD/DVR players, cable, satellite, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, PS3/4, Xbox, PC/laptop, HD cameras, and more. That's all it supports, that I'm aware of... When it comes to the output, is it capable of sending audio through the hdmi output and the 3.5mm output simultaneously?

Yes, I was able to get my audio come through my TV and the soundbar at the same time.

Does the hdmi out still have audio or is it stripped?

Yes, the HDMI Output from the AmazonBasics Converter box will still have audio.. the other outputs will also. Hope I was helpful

Does it support roku, chromecast, amazon fire tv stick etc as source devices ? can these be plugged into hdmi input?

Yes. I have an older audio receiver that doesn't have HDMI inputs, and I use this with my Amazon Fire TV Stick to extract the audio to SPDIF before sending the video to the projector. Works well.
