The information is so basic and really not all that helpful. It’s basically all written in point form with very little detail - everything can be found online with a quick search. Also, the feeding section recommends starting with pea sized amounts for finger foods, which is the opposite of what most reputable resources recommend (finger foods should be served in large pieces so baby can grip them, with smaller pieces only to be served around 9 months when baby develops the pincer grasp). I got the 0 to 6 months book when my newborn was 2 weeks old and I’m so glad I did. My baby is now 6 months old and has been on a sleeping schedule since he was 3 weeks old. He started sleeping through the night about 10 weeks. He is the easiest baby to put down for a nap I’ve ever seen. I’ve recommended moms on call to just about every friend having a baby that I can. This book is full of so much information, not just the sleep training information but also, what to do when the baby is sick, how to handle weaning and starting food. Additionally, it has a lot of good information for mom too. When I got mastitis, moms on call gave me information on how to treat it. Mom’s on call helped make sense of the hardest, best, most important time in my life. It gives me a clear guide on how to get my baby on a schedule and lays out how I should be feeding at each stage, which takes so much of the guesswork out of it.
