will this bulb work in my weller soldering iron

My uncle's vintage Wen soldering "gun" had one of these bulbs so they should work well. I think the original bulb was the GE112, but these bulbs may not last long as my Wen Model 199 Quick Hot put out 1.6 volts, no load voltage, to the empty bulb socket. You might also search Amazon for the LED version, made for DC, but which should accept the AC voltage just fine: Ruiandsion 2pcs E10 LED Bulb DC 1.5V COB 0.5W 6000K White LED Bulb. Let me know as my GE112 burned out. :((
