SENCTRL 60 Psi Glycerin Liquid Filled Low Pressure Gauge, 2.5" Dial Size, 1/4" NPT Lower Mount. Arrived when expected, well packaged and in good condition. They are attractive, clean, appear well made and heavy in the hand. I used 2 of these gauges on my Paramount in-floor swimming pool cleaning system. They'll monitor the pressures at the control modules. The installation was typical. A little bit of teflon tape on the threads, screw it in and snug it up. Nothing to it really. No leaks. I attached to phenolic. If you're going from the gauge's brass fitting to metal pipe, pipe compound/dope might be better if not a bit easier. My performance result once the system was turned on was instantly obvious. In the lead up to this upgrade my system was malfunctioning. I first suspected low pressure because my old (and I do mean 'old' as in 28 years) gauges were reporting about 10PSI which is about 20PSI below what the system needs to operate. I was able to eliminate pressure as the problem and determined that one of the modules needed to be replaced. The new module worked fine but the pressures were still at 10PSI. Installed the new gauges and they shot right up to just below 30PSI variable. Very pleased. My system should now be much easier to diagnose the next time there's a malfunction. I've seen some other reviewers mention that their new gauges would not return to zero. Given that I'm in the Desert Southwest I have no doubt that our dangerously hot sun will cook these gauges up and produce a similar experience. I hope you will be able to see in the attached photos that the gauges have a sticker on them that explains the anomaly and a simple remedy to resolve it. (I don't think that remedy would apply to the rear mount type gauge if you install it horizontally. The glycerin might leak out?) The old plastic gauges I replaced lasted over 2 decades. I fully expect these liquid filled, stainless steel upgrades to surpass that. If they don't, I'll be sure to re-visit this review. For now, I'm recommending. Enjoy!
