## Overview

The Robinair RG6000 Recovery Machine is a cutting-edge refrigerant recovery solution designed for professionals. With its oil-less compressor, self-purge feature, and high-pressure safety cut-off, it ensures efficient and safe operation across a wide range of refrigerants, including R-410A. Perfect for those who demand reliability and performance in their HVAC tools.

## Description

The SPX Industrial RG6000 refrigerant recovery machine works with CFC (chlorofluorocarbon), HFC (hydrofluorocarbon), and HCFC (hydrochlorofluorocarbon) refrigerants, including R-410A (Puron), for normal HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) field operations. The oil-less compressor can be used with both liquid and vapor forms of refrigerants. The RG6000 has a self-purge feature to clear residual refrigerant, leaving the machine ready for the next service call. A high-pressure safety cut-off switch prevents the machine from overuse by shutting the unit off if the system pressure rises above 550 psi (pounds per square inch). It has a padded, ergonomic grip handle that makes carrying the machine to each jobsite easy and comfortable. The SPX RG6000 refrigerant recovery machine is portable, measures 12 x 9 x 17 inches (H x W x D), and weighs 27 lb. (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) A 3/4 hp motor drives the compressor. It has a 115V/60 Hz power source and is certified by the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) standard 7440-98, Underwriters Laboratory (UL), Conformite Europeenne (CE) and Technischer Überwachungs-Verein (TUV – pending) standards. It meets or exceeds Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations for refrigerant recovery. Refrigerant recovery machines are used by HVAC and other technicians to transfer refrigerants in air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, automobiles, and dehumidifiers. Refrigerant is removed from a cooling system through a motorized compressor and then pumped back into the system after servicing is completed. They are typically portable compressors covered with polyethylene, blow-molded cases, and are used in the field on HVAC service calls, in automotive service bays, or in other controlled environments for the safe removal and transfer of refrigerant. SPX manufactures products for the power and energy, food and beverage, and vehicle and transit industries, among others. Founded in 1911, the company is headquartered in Charlotte, NC.

Review: Five Stars - 10 pounds less then 15 minutes
Review: Not a very desirable products - This is not a product I would recommended for others. First it was very noisy. Second it would not do the job properly. Even I follow manual instructions like using new hoses and remove all the inset inside the hoses. After a few minutes of recovery, the pressure reading on the high side of the machine will go up quickly and I have to shut down the machine in order not to damage it. It is just not something the machine will do the job by itself without have to stand there to monitor it. I had to return to desertcart for refund so I can keep looking for a better machine.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: will this Item work with automotive r12**
A: Yes it will .

**Q: What is the difference between this unit (RG6000) and the RG3000? FYI, I need it for use with a 10"x12" recovery tank to give an idea of volume.**
A: RG3000 is single cylinder, RG6000 is twin cylinder. Just means RG6000 will get it done faster because it is a heavier, more powerful unit than it's little brother the RG3000. Either one will fill any 15 or 30 lb recovery cylinder quick enough.Take note of the features, too. RG6000 has a purge feature to clear the unit of refrigerant. A must if your using it for multiple refrigerant types.

**Q: Ok I know this was not made for it but I am not seeing why one could not do this. Would any one see ware comprising of bio mass or methane with this u**
A: These units require oil to keep the gasket lubricated as well as the piston in the pump. Refrigation gas have this oil methane probably doesn't. Also these units accept up to a 3% loss of gas thru use of unit. This unit was not designed to handle flammable gases the circuitry is not explosion proof

**Q: can i use this machine to recover, evacuate, and recharge?**
A: No...at least that is not how I do it. I use this machine to recover the liquid and vapor refrigerant from a system and transfer the refrigerant to a holding/recovery cylinder. A vacuum pump is the proper tool to pull a system into a deep vacuum to ensure all moisture, etc is evacuated before recharging. The vacuum produced by the vacuum pump will pull refrigerant in from a holding cylinder, but only to a certain pressure. The compressor's low side will inhale the remaining necessary charge based on your superheat or subcool readings. This description is for air conditioning/HVAC. Automobiles use a contained evacuation/charging system all in one machine. This machine comes with no hoses. Hoses have to be bought for the refrigerant class you are working on. I outfit all my refrigerant gauge manifolds with R410 hoses. Highest pressure I ever work with, so I know my spare hoses are safe for the pressure. You can by a filter to screw onto the intake side to help purify the refrigerant as you recover it. This is a great machine. It will recover a residential 5 ton system down so fast you won't have time to go to lunch. The purge feature is a must if you are working with different types of refrigerants. Worth the money every time you use it!

I have 3 older RG5000s. No recovery unit will work without monitoring. No recovery machine without a sub cooler will pull refrigerant off in hot weather alone. I often have to cool the drum with water or ice but mine work fine in cool weather as they are!
