I used this to hold a 26x5 inch dropdown shelf door made of 3/4 inch oak. It has the appearance of maybe being a tad flimsy looking, but it holds the weight fine so far. It was simple to install and works smoothly. The knob can fully unscrew, so I hope it doesn't fall off on its own. But so far so good. I suppose if I had used two of them, one on each side I wouldn't be as concerned...

I used the hinge to hold an easel in place for a Painter's Box. It works but it is just a piece of stamped medal, nothing special. I think the price is a bit high for what you get and I wonder how long it will function. It is not the best made product.

Good old fashion design and quality

Needed a support bar to hold up a drop down door. This was perfect, after originally trying a curved version that didn’t work very well. My keyboard tray is hidden but easily accessible when needed without having the drop down door hanging and in the way. Nice improvement to my desk.

This thing does exactly what it's supposed to, it would get five stars if it actually came with its own set of screws.
