The ASICS GEL-RESOLUTION X Wide tennis shoe creates advanced comfort for players who like to control the game from the baseline. DYNAWALL technology in the midsole now extends into the heel for added stability during lateral movements. It's a functional feature that's effective when you're running, covering both sides of the baseline. DYNALACING technology has been strategically designed to hold when extra support is needed. This allows you to experience a locked-in feel when you're making quick transitions. There's also a two-piece midsole design that helps improve stability when your foot lands on the court. Lastly, the higher medial collar helps prevent ankle twisting when making abrupt cuts back and forth. Polyester upper, lining, and insole. PROPEL cushioning helps create powerful jumps and softer landings. FLYTEFOAM technology improves stability. No-sew overlays improve support and flexibility. Lace-up closure. Padded tongue and collar. Low-top style. Brand logo on the back. Round toes. Synthetic rubber outsole.

Best pickball shoes EVER!
These shoes are the best pickball shoes i have ever put my foot in. I have achielles tendon issues and they wrap that like no other. Side motion is very solid and no side roll. I have a narrow foot and the mid sole tightens right up, like you dont even have a shoe on. The only con is the weight of the shoe but to be honest the trade off is worth it!!!

DO NOT BUY
I genuinely don’t understand how these made it out of product testing. The ASICS Gel Resolution X feels like a cruel joke — like someone took the worst parts of a running shoe and stuffed them into a tennis silhouette. From the moment I put them on, I knew something was off. The fit is painfully tight despite being the same size I’ve worn in multiple prior ASICS models (including the excellent Gel Resolution 9). The toe box is suffocating, the midsole feels like concrete, and the break-in period might as well be a myth — after several sessions, they’re still brutally uncomfortable.Traction? Mediocre. Cushioning? Basically non-existent. Stability? Only if you enjoy rolling your ankle every few games. I could’ve taped cardboard boxes to my feet and had a better experience. And don’t even get me started on the tongue — it folds, creases, and digs into the top of your foot like it’s trying to hurt you on purpose. These shoes are a huge step backward for ASICS. Save yourself the blisters, frustration, and regret — avoid at all costs.

Works Well For People With Wider Feet
Works for people with wider feet! I was never able wear the previous Gel-resolution 8 and 9 regular fit because they are too narrow. I bought these shoes at a local tennis store and I am able to fit into the X regular fit comfortably. My regular size 9.5 fits me right, I have to wear a 10 for all On tennis shoes. The Gel-resolution X is quite comfortable, my right shoe does make a popping noise when I step but it doesn’t affect my games so it doesn’t matter. I recommend people to try them on if you are wider feet like me.

Popping sound when I step
This shoe makes a popping sound when I walk, coming from the synthetic upper material. I think they made the upper too stiff, so it doesn't flex quite right. I sent the first pair back, and after getting a replacement pair, these do the same thing.I don't know if this will go away over time, maybe they just need to be broken in. I'll try to report back after using them more and playing some pickleball. Some context, this is probably my 5th pair of Asics Gel Revolution shoes, from different generations. I love my previous ones, they're super durable, comfortable, and the styling is a little more conservative than some of the other high end court shoes. We'll see if that continues, and if this popping issue goes away.

The worst shoe I’ve ever purchased
Not just the worst tennis shoe but worst shoe I’ve ever owned. I love the gel resolution 9s but even though the outsoles were still good, the padding and comfort was shot. The 9s required zero break-in and fit great. Now with the x they are like boats on my feet. There is so much damn room everywhere - around the heel, around the toes, and in the middle. I’ve put about 9 hours on these and they still aren’t broken in. I don’t know how they went so far off the rails. A few people complain about the 9s being narrow and they make these heavy, extra roomy, and uncomfortable. I wish I could get my money back at this point. Now I need to find a new company and new shoe. In the last five years I’ve never come across a 9.5 shoe that doesn’t fit. Length-wise these are fine but this is a wide shoe. If you have wide feet you might be ok. If you don’t, run away from these. What an expensive disappointment.

Weird amount of hate
I'm not sure what the hate is all about. And the dude saying he's swimming in the shoe is a complete liar. I have slim FLAT feet and buying my normal size is a little tight on my little toes, but I'm sure that's part of the break in period. I watched online reviews and everything people are complaining about was all purposeful design to help strengthen the shoe.Anyway, I played a match in pickleball and they didn't feel all that heavy, my ankles felt really good after playing, so that was awesome! For me there's some minor pain because of my flat feet, but some breaking in will feel good I'm sure. All in all, they're fine for slim feet, they're not THAT heavy, and I found them great for playing pickleball in!
