I recently purchased the Ontel Pillow Pad, and it has quickly become one of my favorite accessories for using my tablet and phone. Like many of the other reviews, it arrived shrunk wrapped and flimsy. Huge disappointment. I’ll try some of the wetting and dryer recommendations I’ve read here, then send it back if not acceptable. Not at all like my 5 yr old grey. Nor the blue, which was fine, that I bought last month. UPDATE: I used the wet towel and dampening the pillow for 3 rounds in the dryer, 15 mins each time. Waiting 30 mins between each. Also unzipped it and found it is hallow in the middle, just put a few small soft towels in there to fill it out. It is now absolutely fine and usable. I’m happy with these results. Same shape and firmness as my others. The color is a rich maroon and matches my other decor. SUCCESS! Keeper! 4.5 star rating only because I had to spend so much time working out the kinks.

I see from other reviews, that having this arrive in a plastic tube, compressed and totally out of shape, is par for the course. Mine, after escaping the tube and sitting for 24 hours, was hardly recognizable as what I ordered. I sent an email plus pictures to Ontel. No response. I went to the website and used the contact information to write my complaint - with pictures. No response. I got a message from Amazon asking if my communication with the manufacturer had resolved my problem. I replied "no". So, I called Ontel again, got help after a short wait, explained my problem (which she had probably heard many times before) and I was cut off. Now, I'm getting a bit testy, but as I looked at the blue blob that arrived, totally unusable, I decided, one more try. I got a very nice lady, who very quickly referred to "her manual", and said that the blob plus a damp towel on LOW in the dryer would bring out the shape in the pictures. After three sessions of an hour or so each, I, at last have something that looks like a very wrinkled version of what is pictured. I give up. It will hold a book and my IPad, and it's soft and very lightweight, so it will fill the bill. If you are planning to purchase one, don't forget - damp towel and into the dryer on low for as many sessions as it will take to get a good shape.

This is a total piece of junk. Ordered in August, received in January, Amazon did keep me posted on late delivery. I studied this purchase to compare to one I have by the same name which is firm and sturdy. This one is smaller correctly advertised as a pillow, won't hold up a tablet safely. If you want a soft squishy pillow, go for it, I am returning this.

I bought this for my mom as a Christmas gift and she loves it, she doesn't have to worry about the tablet slipping and falling because it doesn't slide, shes able to be in other positions with the pillow rather than just proping it up on our coffee table and leaning over from the couch to use her tablet. Plus it has a side holder for your phone or maybe even a small snack!

After ordering two others that would not hold because I have it in a cover. This one works great and I have had this one before. It just didnt come up in a regular search, I had to go to my previous orders to find it. The other comment I have is my previous two like this Hasan addition tilt. I never used that tilt, but it made a good place to pick it up. I miss that.

Looked at a lot of tablet pillows and reviews before settling on one of these from the Amazon Warehouse. It's made from memory foam, so I hoped that one that had been returned would have already re-expanded. It arrived in a fairly good sized box, so I was hopeful, but inside the pillow had been rolled/squished up into a much smaller box (think a small, square tube). I took it out of the packaging and my first reaction was "well this thing is going back" because it was totally misshapen like some of the other photos, and no way would it hold a tablet. Within an hour it was looking better, and by the next day it was nearly perfect. I did try tossing it in the dryer that evening as some reviewers mentioned, but it didn't seem to make any difference. The foam has completely expanded, but even after 2 weeks the cover retains horizontal wrinkles from where it was rolled up. I even tried spraying some Downey Wrinkle Releaser on one side and smoothing it without success. That said, the wrinkles in no way prevent me from using the pillow, and to be honest, on the dark grey fabric they are more obvious by touch than they are visually, especially since most of the surface you are looking at is covered with the tablet. I am sure that if I ever need to remove the cover and wash it that should take care of the wrinkles, but it's on there tight enough that it isn't worth the hassle to remove it just for wrinkles you can barely see. I purchased the pillow because I was having wrist and hand pain from holding my 8 inch tablet while gaming. That was relieved within days of using the pillow, so I am overall quite happy with the purchase. ****3 year update**** I was correct that if I ever needed to remove the cover to wash it, the wrinkles would be removed. Something spilled on it and it had to be washed. It was hard to get the cover off the pillow. I machine washed in a mesh delicates bag in cool water and a normal cycle, then hung up to dry because I didn't want the cover to shrink. It didn't shrink, but it was nearly impossible to get it back on, so I have hoped that I never have to remove it again. I love the pillow so much that when I saw them at a local discount store I bought another for my mother. I didn't yet have her convinced of how good it was when I spent a day babysitting my great nephew. I borrowed hers to use for the toddler's tablet. He refused to give it up and kept stealing it back, so I ordered another for my mother. She still uses her limitedly, but the baby and I both use ours every single day.

DO NOT BUY. Should have read the reviews more closely. I had purchased one of these tablet pillows for my wife years ago, same brand. It gets used daily and needed to be replaced. So, I ordered a new one. Received it, removed from the packing and waited for it to puff up, and waited. I tried putting it in the dryer and used a clothing steamer as directed. Still not as good looking as the old beat up one. I’m not going to stuff it or any other fix, it’s going back but not sure if I can get it back in the box. I changed my review to 4 stars. After being disappointed that the pillow did not fill out enough to be usable my wife put it in a closet an it was forgotten. Recently she found it, while looking for something else. To our surprise it had expanded considerably more and was usable. it's still not the same as the original one my wife had. This one has only two sides with a lip not three and it's shorted then the old one.
