These little microwave meals work perfect for taking to work for lunch. They are small and fit into my backpack easily, without worry of opening or going bad. They taste good and are ready to go in just a minute. It is a fairly small meal, so I usually pair it with something else, but it's reasonable enough to keep from getting hungry.

I just tried the Dinty Moore beef stew for the first time. While the stew is very flavorful, & contains a fair amount of beef cubes, I knocked off one star because the stew was a bit more like soup, than stew..... or at least, it's more watery than any stew I ever made. I like the gravy to be thick, & clinging to every veggie, & piece of meat. The only vegetables I could recognize in this stew was carrots, & potatoes. I'd have liked to see onion included. Still, it's a "warm your tummy" good, filling, & quick lunch-time meal,... taking only 1 minute in the microwave oven to prepare. And you don't even need to mess up a dish, as the stew comes in its own bowl, but careful, your could burn your fingers as you remove the dish from the microwave. I use a clean, but used bowl from previous portions of Hormel chicken alfredo, (mmmm, my favorite!) to slip under the just-heated bowl, & it's perfect for handling your freshly cooked stew without getting burned. It seems that Dinty Moore, & Hormel are both from the same parent company, & use the same packaging.

These have a great beefy taste. The pieces of meat do not taste like meat, but is quite eatable.

I use this as a snack, dinner and I put it in my homemade soup.
