Fantastic product if you're looking for a simple yet effective salicylic acid to help unclog pores, fight spots and keep oily skin at bay. I also bought this for a slightly different reason – to use on the tops of my arms for keratosis pilaris. Being disabled, regularly using a body wash or cleanser that needs washing off isn't always the most practical option for me, so after doing some research into ingredients that can help with KP, I decided to give this a try as a simple leave-on alternative. I'll admit I haven't been as consistent with it as I probably should have been, so I can't claim miraculous results, but I have noticed a small improvement. That's made me quite optimistic that with more regular use I'll see an even bigger difference. I've found it gentle enough that it hasn't caused me any irritation, a little goes a long way, and the price is incredibly reasonable for an effective skincare ingredient. It's not a luxurious product – you don't get fancy scents or textures that make you feel like you're having a full-blown spa facial – but that's not really what The Ordinary is about. If you want something practical, affordable and effective that simply gets on with the job, I'd definitely recommend it.

This is actually the first product I’ve ever reviewed, but I had to share my experience! My sister recommended The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution to me, but I was honestly quite sceptical. However, at such a reasonable price, I thought I had nothing to lose by giving it a try. I have perimenopausal skin and suffer from the occasional hormonal blemish. I applied this last night and, honestly, it was like magic or wizardry! The blemishes had totally disappeared overnight, and the rest of my skin felt incredibly soft, smooth and looked really fresh and glowy too. I can’t say how it would perform on more severe or acne-prone skin, but based on my experience, I would definitely recommend giving it a go — especially at this price! I’m genuinely impressed and will definitely be keeping this in my skincare routine. ✨

Not sure why the negative reviews. I guess this product is not suitable for everyone. I used it every single day without any irritation for a whole month. No pimples or rashes. I am using 4 drops (nose, cheeks, and chin) so I think that’s a lot considering the recommended dosage is every few days. I will continue to use it because it helped control acne 100%. Due to how stressful my job is, I normally get spots every now and then. I’ve not seen a single spot since using it so it must be doing something for me. For the price, I would recommend giving it a try. I think this is the only useful product from their brand (I’ve tried quite a few different ones from ordinary).

Good product , helps reduces redness when I get spots , however sometimes too much can irritate the skin so I would recommend every other night and not everyday, but everyone’s skin is different

and reducing dark spots. It absorbs quickly, doesn't leave a greasy residue, and leaves skin looking noticeably smoother and clearer within days of consistent use. A staple product that is well worth every penny!

Really happy with this serum. It has a lightweight texture and absorbs easily without feeling heavy or sticky. I’ve found it useful for keeping my skin feeling smoother and helping with occasional blemishes and clogged pores. A little goes a long way, so the 30ml bottle lasts well. Great product for a simple skincare routine and good value for the price.

This is apart of my skincare routine that I use every couple of days, along with the moisturiser too. I have very sensitive skin and this doesn’t irritate it at all.

No noticeable difference after daily use for a week. Will carry on using and hope it worlks

Muy contenta con este producto. Hay que utilizarlo con prudencia, porque si se abusa seca mucho la piel, pero aplicándolo uno o dos días a la semana, por la noche, es genial. Deja una piel muy bonita y ayuda a contralar imperfecciones y a mejorar la apariencia de los poros.

Ive been extremely impressed with The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution. I originally bought it to help with clogged pores and blackheads, particularly around my nose and in the corners of my nose. The difference has been remarkable. My pores look much cleaner, and I now rarely see a visible blackhead. What surprised me most was the improvement in the overall texture and smoothness of my skin. Salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) and is oil-soluble, which allows it to penetrate into the pore and help loosen excess sebum and dead skin cells. It also acts as a chemical exfoliant, helping break down the bonds between dead skin cells at the surface so they can shed more effectively. That exfoliation seems to be making a noticeable cosmetic difference for me. With less buildup of dead skin cells, the surface of my skin feels smoother and more refined, and because the surface is more even, it reflects light more uniformly. The result is a naturally healthier, clearer, glowing appearance rather than dull or rough-looking skin. I started using it once daily and gradually increased to twice daily. My skin has tolerated it exceptionally well with no noticeable dryness, redness, peeling, or irritation. For me, this has been much more than a blackhead treatment. It’s noticeably improved the clarity, texture, smoothness, and overall appearance of my skin. Definitely a product I plan to continue using. 5 stars. Buy it ! It’s a great price! Much better then proactive which I have Used for over 20 years. I’m like everyone else….I wish I found this little gem sooner. Even the fine lines have been reduced, my skin is never look so good and I’m 53 years old.

L’ho inserito nella routine principalmente su naso, fronte e mento, dove tendo ad avere più punti neri e pori congestionati. La texture è leggera e bastano poche gocce, quindi il flacone da 30 ml dura parecchio. La cosa che ho trovato più utile è l’effetto sulla texture della pelle dopo un utilizzo costante: non “cancella” i punti neri da un giorno all’altro, ma nel tempo rende le zone più problematiche meno ruvide e più uniformi. Il limite è che il 2% non è affatto innocuo se si utilizzano contemporaneamente retinoidi, altri acidi o detergenti aggressivi: aumentando troppo la frequenza ho trovato la pelle più secca. Meglio iniziare gradualmente. Ottimo prodotto per chi vuole un BHA semplice e senza una formula inutilmente complicata.

Acheté pour mon fils de 13 ans à la peau acneique et grasse, après un mois d’utilisation la transformation est folle! Je n’en reviens pas! Il n’a plus de boutons, quelques points noir encore mais rien comparé au mois dernier! Et Il régule bien sa peau grasse. Il l’utilise dans sa routine du soir ( il a une autre routine le matin très efficace aussi mais qui ne nécessite pas de mettre de la crème solaire toute la journée par rapport aux composants, ce qui n’est pas pratique quand on est collégien). Mon fils a la peau sensible, à la première utilisation il a eu une petite sensation de picotements, mais pas de réaction. Produit très abordable et économique car il a besoin de très peu de gouttes. Je recommande!

Product is perfect, I gave 1 star for the delivery, he did not call before delivery to confirm my presense at home , he left the package at the door unattended, and could have been easily stolen :(
