This shredder works great for home use. It shreds paper, credit cards, and even stapled documents without any problems. It's easy to use, and I like the clear window on the bin so I can see when it's getting full. It can be a little noisy, but it gets the job done well. Overall, it's a reliable shredder and a good value for the price.

this thing is a beast. value for money it is absolutely wonderful choose through paper and even light cardboard with no issues it says don't use it on cardboard but it definitely works I haven't had the motor stall out or give me a heat warning at all I've gone through multiple boxes and multiple papers with no issues the safety cutoff is pretty nice when you lift it out of the container I will say that if you're not careful and if you knock over the container while it's got stuff in it it will definitely cause a mess but the device itself is not messy it all goes inside of the little bin and the view window is also nice for letting you know when you are getting full

The Bonsaii 12-Sheet Cross Cut Paper Shredder is a great choice for a home office. Works well. More noisy than my previous shredder, but I like it. I put a paper sack inside the bin to catch the shreds and it's working. I like having a handle on the lid to help lift it off when it's time to empty it. Good machine for a Prime Day price!

Apr 2023 Update: 6+ months and this thing is still going strong! Just bought shredder oil sheets for the first time ever because how durable it's been! Original Review: So far this is the best shredder I've ever owned by a wide margin! Glad I spent a little bit more money on a much higher quality product (I got the 10min one too), this is the best bang for your buck! I've had a few shredders before in the ~$40 range (mostly Staples ones) that broke pretty quickly -- this one really doesn't cost that much more, comparatively. They'd only be able to do like 5 sheets (nowhere near 12) and eventually plastic bits would start falling out of the insides and it would stop working. If you put in like 4 sheets and folded one accidentally, those would jam immediately. Then the jams would be hard to clear and could damage the shredder. Or you'd run it for like a minute and it would start overheating already and start malfunctioning. So far, with this shredder, in a few weeks' time period, I already shredded more than I have in the past 5 years combined. Probably did like ~10,000 sheets of lots of old documents. That's how much of a powerhouse this shredder is compared to all the other ones I've owned previously! So it's been easily worth the money already as it has outlasted the others that would start malfunctioning at ~1,000 sheets. It's also never jammed on me! I've never tried 12 sheets on it, but it'll do 6 sheets no problem, whereas my previous shredders would start falling apart -- literally -- if you tried 6 sheets. And this thing can run for like an hour without overheating! Like I get tired out and I have to take a break well before it overheats. Whereas with previous ones, I'd spend like 2 minutes and already had to wait for it to cool down. Now the bottleneck isn't the shredder, but me! Also, because it's been so durable so far, I'm no longer afraid of shredding things here and there, worried that the shredder might suddenly break. Sometimes I shred some old documents as a therapeutic, meditative activity now -- shred your worries away xD It also holds more paper than my previous shredders before I have to clean it out. And while it is taller than I expected, that surprisingly made it more ergonomic so I didn't have to lean over as much while shredding. As some reviewers have noted, when I got it I did check the insides and did see some bits of shredded paper. That seemed sketchy, but it does say on the note that comes with it that they "test every shredder" and so that's why you might see some leftover bits. And honestly, even if it is used, it's outlasted my previous shredders by a 10x margin already, so it's good quality stuff either way. So, overall, well worth the price, best bag for my buck I've had with a shredder. Bonsaii also has a 1-year warranty (and the reviews seem to say that they've made good on that too!), which is why I originally bought it with my past shredder purchases going awry. But I guess it's as they say, if a company is confident in such a long warranty, the product probably isn't going to break quickly! Hoping to have this last for many more years :)

Great cross cut paper shredder. I like the handle that folds down. It makes moving it easier. I like the feature that you can turn it on and off, or leave it on automatic. I'm careful around paper shredders and prefer to leave it off and turn it on when I need to use it. I also like the reverse feature. I prefer to reverse after shredding for a few minutes. This keeps the paper cleared out.

Good product! Please stay within the 12-sheet processing and do not shred stickers as it will gum up the unit. Great for home and small office usage.

The star rating reflects functionality and value for the money rather than whether or not it seems like a premium product. We paid around $50 for this. Which is (as you might know) very inexpensive for a paper shredder. The fact that it even works for this price is an accomplishment. It's very basic and some aspects of it reveal the fact that it's a budget model. There are few frills and the material of the collection bin looks and feels cheap and flimsy. But it only needs to exist and collect shredded paper. It does that. The reason I bought this one rather than a higher priced model is that the people who use it have gone through much more expensive shredders in less than a year. I did not test this thing to it's limit. It will shred a few pages at a time with little trouble. It bogs down a bit if you put in more than a few. I personally would not try 12 sheets but it might handle it for all I know. It has not jammed yet but pretty much any shredder is capable of jamming under certain circumstances. If you don't expect a premium product at an extreme budget price, you'll probably be satisfied with this.

This shredder is incredibly robust and extremely efficient. I've owned a couple of different brands over the years, but this is by far the best one I've ever used. One of its biggest advantages is its excellent run time. Unlike other shredders I've owned, it doesn't constantly stop to cool down, allowing you to work through a large pile of unwanted documents without endless interruptions. It makes the whole process much quicker and far less frustrating. Overall, this is a brilliant, well-built, and reliable shredder that offers excellent value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality shredder.

Good quality is first thing I noticed. It shred 7 pages no issue. I like the larger bin than my old one. Don’t have to empty as often and it shreds paper smaller bits than my old one. I recommend.
