Accuracy seriously in question!
Really question the accuracy of this device. I had a massive chocolate cookie, which I would’ve expected to see my blood sugar spike. Barely raised and only just got above 6mmol/L after half an hour. Checked with my manual monitor and it was over 8 mmol/L. Somethings definitely not right. Pretty disappointing to be honest!

Unreliable sensors.
I bought one of these five months ago and was very pleased with how easy it was to set up and use to monitor my glucose levels. After a period on a changed diet I bought another to see where I am now. So: The first one wouldn’t pair properly, the sensor said it was faulty so I sent it back to Amazon which replaced it the same day - very impressive. The replacement sensor fell off my arm so I refitted it but it would not work at all. As for unit one went through the troubleshooting stuff but no joy. Maybe this is a pair from a bad batch but for me the product is far less dependable now. I’ve asked for a refund.

ABSOLUTE USELESS - WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY
DO NOT BOTHER with this product! It arrived quickly and was quite painless to attach, but it NEVER worked and was a complete waste of time. I tried uninstalling and installing a few times to see if it was just a glitch but it ALWAYS came up with the same message - "This App has a Bug" and NEVER actually worked. Very disappointing and frustrating as I was looking forward to getting more knowledge and information about My Glucose levels, but ABSOLUTELY USELESS and complete waste of time. Luckily Amazon refunded so I didn't lose the money but still Seriously disappointed I didn't even want to leave a single Star as a rating but Amazon won't allow to post the review without a rated review?!!

Very stressful 8 days, and device not working properly anyway!
Unfortunately the monitor dramatically understated my supposed glucose levels - I was really worried I was hypoglycaemic! I ended up buying a traditional pin-prick monitor to try and work out what was going on. This pin-prick monitor shows an 8mmol/l difference 😱. That’s a lot! Because the device looked like it was working, it’s taken me 8 days to realise there was a problem with it. I’ll be honest, I hated it. This is one of the most stressful things I’ve used in a long time. The constant measurement of your blood sugar, trying to relate it back to what you ate and how you feel is really horrible. It is easy to become obsessed, and that’s not healthy at all. I have a strong family history of diabetes, so wanted to understand how my eating habits could be improved to reduce my risk, but I don’t think this is a useful or healthy way of achieving that. The monitor pretends to be up-to-date to the minute, but if you read the literature there is actually a 15 minute lag in the results because they are actually measuring the fluid around your cells, not your blood. This means it is inviting you to make judgements on results in real time, but which aren’t actually real! It would be much better and healthier for the user if the monitor showed the 15 minute lag rather than pretending it is up to the minute. So I really don’t recommend, unless under medical supervision. And that is even before you take into account the fact the sensor wasn’t working properly, but there was nothing to indicate that there was a problem apart from some strange results. I would definitely recommend against buying.

Beware Android users... doesn't connect, limited supported devices
So I thought this was a great idea, saw it supported Android and purchased, even if it was quite expensive, thought I would give it a go. Install the app, placed the device on my arm, paired the phone, which vibrated and made a tone as if connected, waited 60 minutes for the device to warm up and nothing... no Bluetooth connection... Spent the next 2-3 hours clearing the app cache, changing the NFC and Bluetooth settings, logging in and out, reinstalling, rebooting the phone, turning Bluetooth off and on, and re-pairing the device, at no point did it connect or did I get any data from it. Seems it supports Pixel and Samsung only, if you don't have the absolute latest of those (and very specific versions of Android) move along, because it's a £50 brick... I have no idea if it's faulty or not, but it certainly is a waste of time!

Lack of after care if sensor doesn’t work properly
I am somewhat disillusioned with the lingo sensor. The app after a few hours failed to register daily data/lingo score, and advised me that there was no data and that I should seek help which I did via the customer help. I waited for nearly 3 days and despite sending screen shots was repeatedly asked for answers to multiple questions about operating systems, reloading apps, having the latest updates etc. which was very frustrating. The ‘bot’ help is of little help and took my details - no one works over the weekend. I wasn’t advised of the possible things to try by the automated service and rather waited for days to receive a list of information to send them. While I realise, lingo don’t want to be posting out replacement sensors if they can avoid, it’s not great for the customer. I sent screen shots of the data not working, and was repeatedly asked about how I’d applied, if I’d rebooted, updated app, what phone operating system I was using- a big list. I have been unable to use the app for 5 days of the sensor and it’s frustrating. A replacement would be acceptable but I get the impression, that Abbot wants to avoid this option at all costs. It’s not a seamless or easy process.

Expired date?
Not entirely sure whether I purchased a very bad expired batch ( was still in date according to the expirery date) Anyway ordinary my first one all was good until about 4 hours later when I got a message to replacement the sensor as it wasn't working. So I asked for a replacement to be sent which was delivered on the same day. Scanned the new device set it up everything was working perfectly the real time updates are great, woke up the next morning to a message that the device has expired before its time to replace it with a new only! Quite upset trying to convince myself it definitely was a bad batch as I've seen devices with a longer shelve life date, I couldn't get a replacement for the second so had to order a new one and send this one back. Fingers crossed third time lucky if not I will not be purchased or exchanging for a new one! But will quite happily trile the next better improved model for free😬

Absolutely ZERO water resistance.
This fell off on the first day within hours of a post gym shower. The claims about water resistance are absolute nonsense and if you are going to go this route of monitoring your glucose as a non diabetic and you have anything other than a totally sedentary lifestyle you will have to wear some kind of waterproofing cover over the sensor. I'm absolutely livid as these are expensive items. Beginning the return/replace process. Buyer be very aware.
