It works with my Sony DCR TRV20 Handycam
It works with my Sony DCR TRV20 Handycam, it the AV cable that this product brings does not work with the camera you need to buy a separate AV cable for sony. i bought mine on Amazon for $9.

Device kept freezing and finally stopped working
The concept was great and it seemed to doing what it should but then kept freezing over and over. Then instructions were confusing and after reseting several times, the micro SD card became corrupted. I purchased a new one but then the device would not work, so something inside the device failed as well. The device was exactly what I wanted - to transfer old movies from VHS to my computer. The movies are of poor quality so I did not want to spend a lot having an outside company transfer. So disappointed and I cannot recommend.

Stopped turning on but then clicked reset button on back of device

Priceless
Was able to capture memories from a VHS tape where a lot of family members have passed on. Gave a copy to my aunt of her husband. It was priceless.

Video quality
It does the job but converted video quality is not that good.

It is not Mp4 format
The digital result file is avi format, It is not mp4, wich it is not what I spected. But works fine, if you do not need a great video quality at the end. Theres some Better options for digital convertion, I guess...

Just flat out does not work and is unreliable.
It gets one star for having an internal battery, which is very nice. I have owned two of these and returned both. The first one just stopped turning on after a few minutes. The second one exhibited some of the worst video quality I have ever seen out of a mini DVR, which is saying something. I bought this to go tapeless on a camcorder, so I was very much aware of issues and limitations of devices like these. I was not prepared, however, for the video to regularly skip frames and glitch at various points when recording. This is not a reliable device with which to record anything and I Would never recommend this to anyone. Buyer beware.
