After about 20 years, our big-brand toaster broker. Most of the big-brand models cost over $100, and many over $200. That felt ridiculous for a device that basically just heats up coils. My spouse and I decided to try the Bella and it's great. At the time of this review, it cost $35. We got the 4 slice Oatmeal colored one. Looks great in our kitchen and pretty much works just like our old one. A few notes for those that are interested: - Has no bell to indicate it's done. That didn't bother us - especially if the other person is sleeping. - No digital display. The temp control is an old school knob that articulates very nicely. It took us a moment to get used to this because from a distance with our old toaster, we could see the temp setting and make corrections if we forgot to set it how we like it. Easy adjustment for us to make. - It has a removable crumb tray. This is important to us because we beat our toasters up by putting all kinds of foods into it which sends crumbles to the bottom all the time. - It doesn't have a "lift to look" feature...we kind of miss that but it's an easy adjustment for us to make. - Looks great - we do like having a little style / design in our kitchen. It looks like an up-scale product. - Very light-weight. We move it each time to a storage area (i.e. don't let it sit on the counter all the time). I love this toaster. It fits wider breads perfectly, toasts evenly, and delivers consistent results every time. My wife and I also love the look. It does not have many extra features, but for simple defrosting and toasting, it is a great option. It also feels very well built.

When researching toasters, I kept reading reviews about how cute a toaster is. Who cares? I want a toaster that will evenly toast bread on the entire surface and on both sides of the bread. The Bella toaster is the best I have found. When toasting two pieces of standard shaped bread, I put one slice in each slot and I put them in the middle of the slot as shown in photo 1. I think this helps with toasting evenly. In the 2nd photo, I have the toaster set to 4.25. You can see the results in photos 3 and 4. Photo 3 is one side and photo 4 is the other side of the toast. In photo 5, I toasted Italian bread on a setting of 4.5. This resulted in burnt edges so next time I will lower the setting for this type of bread. Photo 6 shows the other side of the toast. Overall, I think the Bella is a top notch toaster. And the best part of this toaster? It’s cute.

I make my bread at home and the slices are just a bit too large to fit into a regular toaster. I usually have to turn them on their side, toast, then turn the slice around and toast the other side. I've been searching for a toaster that has a longer opening for bread slices and thought this was the perfect fit. But it isn't quite what I had hoped. It would work great for 4 regular slices, but for just two slices of my bread, this toaster is far too big. I did look at the measurements and saw that it said "slim" but sometimes we don't know what we're getting until we see it in real life. I used it a few times to see if I could just get used to it, but no. It is just far too long for the space I have to work with and I just don't like it. As far as the "slim" description goes, it's a bit misleading. It's slim for a 4-slice toaster in that it's the same width as a regular two slice toaster. What it lacks in width for the extra slices, it makes up for in length. The toasting functions work ok, but as others have mentioned, it doesn't really toast evenly. I still had to turn each piece of bread around to get the other side toasted to the same level. I also tried placing my pieces of bread in different areas of the toaster and didn't really see any improvement. In this case it really savese no time compared to what I've already been doing with my current toaster. The color is nice though. I do like the matte purple look. It's a very dark plum and has a nice feel to it as well. Overall, the toaster is ok, nothing to write home about and I feel there are much better options within the same price range that don't take up so much real estate on my counter.

It works well but it can get stuck and one side won’t toast properly

I needed a 4 slice toaster. Money was of no concern. Was looking for most highly rated to be honest. I bought 2 other ones that were double the price, returned them both (one arrived broken the other was like 20lbs). I get this guy and not only does it look super fancy on my counter tucked away in a corner (so I dont feel the need to put it in a drawer due to its size), it also toasts fantastically! I toast between levels 3 and 4 depending on if its still hot (use your brain folks, if its already hot, its going to cook your toast faster and is more likely to burn). I see what people mean about how sometimes the edges get a big crispy, you have to learn where it toasts the best. Near the back, in the middle, on the end, no complaints, nothing is left untoasted like some other reviews proclaim. The best thing is that if it dies in like 5-10 years (which I totally doubt it will at all), I am not out a ton of money. Absolutely 5 STARS to the max.

Beautiful 4 slice toaster. Slim so it fits perfectly on my counter and doesn't take up much room. Works great for different bread sizes and bagels. Matches my Bella coffeemaker.

This toaster was great when it was new, it worked great and looks great but now that it is 7 months old it is not working properly and we have to order a new one. It is burning all the toast, and the lever will not stay down unless it is pushed down three times or more. We are in our late 60's and are not rough with the toaster and feel a toaster should last longer then 7 months.

This toaster is fantastic. Works great, and love the idea of having two long slots for flexible options. Looks great on the counter top too
