Made the switch, not going back any time soon
I recently made the switch from a 5-blade cartridge razor to the WEISHI Nostalgic Adjustable Double Edge Safety Razor, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Yes, there’s a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, this razor delivers the best shave I’ve ever had.I use it on both my face and head, and the closeness of the shave is unmatched. The adjustable settings allow for a personalized experience, whether I need a gentle shave or something more aggressive. Plus, this razor is incredibly durable and well-constructed, with a solid feel in hand that tells me it’s built to last. If you’re considering making the switch, I highly recommend giving this razor a try—your skin will thank you!

Enjoy a close shave
Superb product! The safety edge razor I learned to shave with lasted over 45 years. It had traveled with me around the world and the day it broke I was shocked and saddened. Had I anticipated that day I would have bought two in my youth. I searched for a replacement and used disposables in the interim morning shaves; they were dark, very dark days indeed! Then in my searching I found Weishi, the description resembled what I had lost so I tossed the dice and decided to give Weishi a try. Other than the color and a slightly longer handle it was a perfect fit. After a quick lather using the shaving soap, mug and brush it was quick work to be clean shaven once more! I admit that I had doubts the lost days had dulled my hand, I feared the inevitable nicks from using a safety razor once more, but with the first pass of my new friend all was right. I rate this one an extremely strong buy! My only dilemma now is do I buy another for the day 45 plus years from now when this one breaks or wait to buy a replacement then, hmm! Oh, and I always start a new blade with a lower number and increase through the week, hit the top and it’s time for a new blade, 5 to 6 shaves per blade for me. Hope this was helpful and happy shaves everyone!

Works
Works. Have to pay attention and make sure the guard is adjusting uniformly across the razor head. When making adjustments to the cutting heights, it will occasionally hang a bit on one side. Making the gap uneven across the blade edge. A little pressure from the bottom on the high side usually corrects this.

Excellent adjustable safety razor.
Excellent adjustable safety razor. The adjustability range is better than several others I've tried. Especially important is that the minimum setting is very gentle unlike the ones I just replaced with this. The only thing is that you must set to maximum when changing blades to allow blade to clear.

The uneven blade gap is true
The product comes with a rubber band and bandana, both which appears useless in the context of shaving. Box also included a box of double edge razor from weishi. The quality of the double edge razor seems ok, but that is irrelevant to our discussion here. The main problem I cannot get over is that the razor sits unevenly in the bracket that is holding it. This is dangerous and unsafe. One way to overcome this is to set the adjustable setting to 1 (lowest) so that the shaving can still be relatively safe. I can understand why this gap exists, because this razor tries to achieve two engineering difficulty here. 1) having the razor open as butterfly and 2) being adjustable. Other brands like the parker variant or merkur futur is only adjustable and not butterfly open. Feather has one that is butterfly and adjustable, but with only two settings. This has 7 settings.1 thing I like though is that the matte black is well polish and makes it look high quality. I am still considering whether to return this given the uneven gap. Seller should send me a updated version if there is one.

Wow
I have $100 + razors that sit on the counter now because of this cheap, made in china wonder. Put the blade in, close it from the bottom, and take it to number 1,2, or 3 on the adjustment near the top. Do Not use it any higher or you risk cutting yoursel. You will feel the tension on the blade get snug around 3, as the blade gets older it will need more tension. You have to open the butterfly from the bottom, then put the adjustment to 10 in order to change the blade, then close the butterfly and tighten to desired tension. Again , dont leave it To loose.

The razor that just doesn't cut it, or how l learn to love the bomb!
The Manufacturers had the right idea in copying the 1960s Gillette slim. Initially, I loved the long handle. But I have to admit the serrations for gripping need more pronounce aggressive knurled casting for better gripping! The Chinese manufactures need to copy the Gillete mechanism for adjustment for theirs is a total failure! I used this razor with great expectations literally 3or 4 times and the adjustment mechanism was a total failure (See Video) over all this razor could have been a great razor had the Chinese copied Gilletes 1964 Slim and improved on it! Don't buy it! Till they do!

Beautiful Razor
I used Feather blades for my first go. I really love the weight, length and diameter of the handle. The opening operates smoothly (so far - it is new). I set the adjustment beginning at 1 and gradually got to 3, where it felt about right to me. Shave was good. I opened it a little to rinse it out as there was foam under the blade - no big deal. Its easier to load than my old standard razor, and nicer than the old Gillette butterfly razor that I inherited from my father. Didn't give it perfect rating for "value", which I assumed was cost, but it was money well spent.
