DEWENWILS Indoor Remote Control Outlet, Wireless On Off Power Switch

I had many Dewenwil timers, outlets, and extension cables. Most of them work well, especially remote controlled outlets with count down timers and swimming pool wifi timers. But these Smart Plugs are simply horrible. First they take a long time to connect if they ever do. I tried both Smart Life and Dewenwil apps. I was able to connect one to Smart Life and I was able to control it. But there is a catch: it only works when my phone is connected to the same wifi, and it does not work if I am on cellular data. I have not figure out how to set timer, because Smart Life app is not intuitive and it is full of ads! I certainly have tried Dewenwil app, figured it might work better. I was very wrong: it cannot even scan the QR code on the outlet. Tried to manually add the outlet, but haven't succeed yet.Updates:I finally connected the Smart Plugs, via Alexa app, and work flawlessly. It is sad that their native app does not work with their own products. There is no instruction. Added one star

What an amazing concept. I didn't know something like this existed until my husband got me one for my birthday several years ago. Every night I would have to get out of my bed to turn off the lamp I used for reading. It was just high enough that I couldn't reach it. Honestly, despite it's simplicity it's actually one of the best and most gifts I ever received. I've since purchased one for another room and now I'm back to purchase one for my 93 year old dad. I know my dad is going to get a kick out of this and absolutely love it! The remote is small and wireless, The plug in unit is small and not obtrusive at all. The product is super easy to use, just plug it into the wall, plug you lamp into the plug and you are ready to go. What a fabulous little gizmo at such an affordable price, I highly recommend it!!!

I haven’t used any other smart plugs so I don’t know how they compare. But what I do know is these are fantastic! They were so easy to set up with my Amazon Alexa and they stay online without fail. I love them so much I recommended them to my mom who also bought some so I could set up her Amazon Alexa. Highly recommend this brand since it’s a Matter product and can be used across multiple smart home hubs.

Received today. Opened HomeKit, scanned ID engraved on the switch, plugged it in, recognized immediately, fully configured in maybe 3 minutes. No jacking around with my network, it just worked. One of the very best HomeKit device adds I’ve had in several years of using the system.

This is the third time I have purchased Dewenwils remote outlets and they are great! I use them not only to control lights; but also to control turning fans on and off. So easy to set up and use--just plug your light into the outlet switch, plug the switch into the outlet on the wall, and use the remote to turn your lights on and off. This remote comes already programmed to work with all three switches, so no extra programming needed. Simple. And they work flawlessly!

Stopped working after three months. I can no longer pair the items. At this they are useless.

I ordered this 4-pack of smart outlets with the intention of adding them to my current automated setup, but quickly ran into the technical limitations of the Matter protocol. I tried pairing them directly to my existing MOES and Tuya apps, but the integration failed completely. Looking closer at the manufacturer documentation, standard third-party smart apps are not supported. These are native Matter devices, meaning they completely bypass traditional standalone apps and strictly require a dedicated Matter controller or hub to handle the initial handshake and Wi-Fi pairing.Currently, I do not have a primary Matter-certified device up and running in my house, so these are sitting on my desk for the moment. I’m working on converting an older laptop into a dedicated Home Assistant device, and since Home Assistant supports local LAN Matter control natively, these should be ideal for that project. I’m a fan of DEWENWILS products. On the physical side, the plugs feel structurally sturdy and robust. Just be aware that if you are looking for a basic, out-of-the-box plug-and-play timer that works with standard generic smart apps, these are going to frustrate you. They are built specifically for integrated, hub-managed smart ecosystems.

This little gadget is the simple solution to so many inconveniences, enables to control lights or any electric device from the anywhere, and with so many variations, I'm sure you will find the one perfect for your needs. Very highly recommended. I have bought different ones, now I can control lights, fountains, fans and anything outdoors from inside, cannot wait for Holyday decorations. For weather safety, strongly recommend the extension cover boxes, another great gadget. Indoors, control lights fans, speakers from one location, all at once.

A must have for parents. May children apparently were raised in a barn and don’t know how to turn off anything. So now everything is set by me and on timers.So no more having to hassle them about turning off bed side lights and TV’s.
