These chemicals are worse than msg!** A: First of all, your body makes glutomate, and sodium is an essential element for cardiac function. In other words, the flap over monosodium glutomate is based on total lack of understanding. As for the stuff in this stew, remember: They didn't use chemicals like this in the past, when the average human lifespan was around 45 years.
