Great Seeds
The Green grew like gangbusters. The red were slower going and less hardy but still worked great. Start in a pot and transplant at the 1 inch mark.

I don't recommend this...
I was really excited for this combination of green and red shiso seeds which I bought last summer and still have good germination in2023. However it's not real RED shiso but seems like mixed with green. Maybe the package I got was bad one I guess. Also this shiso doesn't grow well in my soil. Yes it's germinated well but most of them either die or grow very small. I am still figuring out how to grow Shiso but BE AWARE RED MIGHT NOT BE 100% PURE RED. As you can see photos looks green front and back is reddish.

Germinates and try with batches
Let’s say it is Shiso seeds but the germination rate isn’t so great. I have to wrap a lot of seeds in wet paper towels to get an only a few to germinate for the red Shiso. And even after that the seedling may not survive once planted in soil…. I did manage to have a few growing but you need a lot of seeds starting. The good thing is there are a lot of seeds in the packet so do try with batches especially with red Shiso. Oh and don’t forget to soak the seeds in water for 12-24 hrs to increase germination chances. There are not a lot of Shiso seeds options online so I get this is only what you can get.

Quality Seeds!
These seeds appear to be in great condition. The packaging was great. Would purchase again!

Incorrect seeds received
Seeds received are mostly basil and not the red shiso seeds advertised. The green shiso were mostly OK but some basil seeds also in the mix.

No seeds germinated
The stars are for arriving on time. For the past two years I tried to start the seeds and they would not sprout. I tried starting them wet, in soil, covered in plastic, uncovered outside in a humid summer heat and in the window. Nothing. I poured the remaining seeds into a planter and nothing happened for months so I planted other plants over them. Birds aren’t eating them either! Has anyone else had this experience?
