In the description it says each package contains one cup of raw product. Does that mean there is one cup of dehydrated veggies in each pouch?

For the record, these are DEHYDRATED vegetables, NOT freeze-dried. Dehydration reduces the bulk considerably more than freeze-drying but also somewhat reduces the nutritional content.

What’s the difference between dehydrated versus freeze dried (taste, nutrients, volume/size) ? Dehydrated is cheaper, just curious why …

‘Freeze dried’ vegetables have been frozen from their fresh state.  The size of the veggies will be basically the same.

Dehydrated vegetables have been left in a heated or warm location until their moisture has evaporated. The veggie pieces will be smaller after the drying out; when placed in water the veggies will plump back-up, to a greater or lesser degree, to their original size.

Dehydrated veggies are superior, in my opinion,  for soups. I have used the dried veggies mix for years for a quick soup meal.  Yum!!!
