10GBASE-T 2-Port PCIe Ethernet Adapter for Intel X710-T2L, PCIe3.0 x 8, with Intel X710-AT2 Controller, 10G LAN Adapter Support Windows/Linux/Vmware

Note: I got this card as the first step in upgrading from a 1 Gbps network to a 10 Gbps one. Currently, the fastest device on my network can only connect at 2.5 Gbps so my usage of this card is presently limited to that. My review will therefore be limited to using the card at 2.5 Gbps for now. This networking card works flawlessly on Windows 10, with zero setup required (plug and play). It took less than 2 minutes to be recognized and installed by my PC after booting to desktop and immediately connected at my network's maximum speed of 2.5 Gbps. With how hands-off the setup was, I expect 10G connection (when I upgrade my network) will happen effortlessly as well. The card is quality-built, with all of the components arranged neatly on the board, and a quality milled black anodized aluminum heatsink covering the main chipset. The plate markings are easy to read, and the faceplate itself is thick enough to be rigid, so it doesn't twist or bend easily. I especially love that it took literally zero finagling to get this card to work properly. I would definitely recommend this card for anyone looking to set up a high speed home server (having two ports is very handy if the server PC is also going to be your internet gateway) or a computer that requires fast network access (keeping in mind that your internet connection speed will still be limited by your ISP's modem/ONT.

If you are building a custom router, home lab server, or hypervisor host (like Proxmox, VMware, or OPNsense) and need dual 10Gbase-T RJ45 ports, this card delivers solid performance at a fraction of the cost of brand-name OEM cards. The locking tabs on thicker Ethernet cables can be a bit stiff to clip in or release because of the frame clearance. - Driver Tweaking Required: You may need to fetch the latest official Intel network drivers manually to hit peak speed and stability rather than relying on default inbox drivers. Overall, it is a dependable dual-port 10Gb card for home labbers and DIY networking setups that offers fantastic value despite minor hardware fitment quirks.

Works as advertised. I can get full 10Gbps with this card. The main reason I got it was because it has the Intel Chipset. Some cheaper non-Intel cards would not work with a version of FreeBSD that I was trying to run.

Works OK so far. Only seen it get up to 4.5 Gbps with ipef3 but that's testing on a machine that I don't have a solid baseline of. The placement of the ports is just a little bit off. Compared to the NIC that I replaced this with, the tab side of the RJ45 ports sits too close to the metal frame so the cables just barely lock in since the frame is depressing the tab.

This could be a little better made but so far so good. It was easy to install and so far it works well. It connects easily and works pretty fast. Time will tell its longevity.
