Excellent sound and mic - long cord- great value
Update: After 3-4 years this headset has worked great daily but due to all the twisting it now has wire exposed. Still 5 stars. Still the best cheap headset out there . Buying another one nowAfter looking at the logitech similar headsets I went with this Sennheiser brand for the quality and having the earpiece on the RIGHT side is great. I use this when working from home and I can hear everyone and the mic is perfect. No problems, no static and no feedback. I just plugged it into my USB port and it installed and worked in less than a minute. Very lightweight and it has a long cord with a mute button on the cord. I would say if you want a great headset on the right side ear, get this one.

Solid value for the price
I bought this headset specifically for use with Skype/Lync calls, as it's designed to be ideal for. Everything worked as expected, and the sound quality was remarkably good for the cost. The inline remote functions well for both volume and call control. It's nearly flawless for use in a quiet office. I like the one-ear design which is more comfortable for long-term wearing and less isolating. The true test was when I needed to work from a Starbucks for a few hours before a meeting I had at a remote office. The quality was good enough for me to speak with customers, and they could hear clearly without excessive background noise. I had to keep myself muted when not talking, and when they used the blender, I often needed to repeat myself, but still pretty good considering the environment. The only thing I would have liked is if the headset could be a bit louder for me to hear over the surroundings. Other headsets I have supply a bit more volume. Still, a solid value for the price. Nice to get some equipment from one of the classic pro audio brands.

Comfortable to wear for long periods
This EPOS headset is a solid choice for office work. Sound quality is good, and the noise-canceling mic really helps in busy environments. It's comfortable to wear for long periods, and the USB connection is simple to set up. The only minor gripe is that the boom mic can feel a bit stiff at times.

The pros and cons
I almost hate writing a headset review. There are so many options, and taste/preference is highly individualized. That said, there are some objective and subjective items to cover.OBJECTIVE EXPERIENCE:I have fine, smooth hair so this headset kept slipping down. The width of the arm going across the top of the head felt too wide (and I wear an extra large hat). The boom holding the mic protruded oddly away from my face, which I could imagine might be helpful for people with more hair or a wider set face. The sound in the ear piece was just fine. Very clear. The controls (e.g., mute, volume up, volume down) were intuitive and simple to use.SUBJECTIVE EXPERIENCE:The dealbreaker for me was the mic quality. This is a widespread problem with headsets so it’s likely not noticed by most (or doesn’t matter). As a former musician who appreciates a good mic, even when speaking, this mic delivered very thin sound to the listener. I have a super cheap headset that delivers a richer sound to the person on the other end.I’ve realized that I probably need to invest some bones to get a fuller, richer sound from a microphone.

Just magically works
PROS:* Plugs in and just works without any special drivers.* Works with WebEx, GoToMeeting, Skype, etc* Mute button is in-line, so it works in any app rather than being a programmed hotkey for a specific app.* Volume control is standard PC volume up and down.* Frequency response is good enough for music, games, etc as well.* Can still hear people around me if they need to get my attention.* Very lightweight.CONS:* I should have gotten the ML60 version for stereo. This works for any audio source and shows up as a sound device. It does not isolate sound, so it's probably better to get the 260 model if you are in a loud callcenter. If you want it for serious audiophiles or 3d sound, then you want the 660 with bigger earcups. However, those are going to be heavier.

Lackluster/tinny microphone, constant frequency noises from speaker, mic picks up ambient noise
There is an odd frequency noise perpetually coming out of the speaker, I can't have that in my ear without going insane. The sound quality is otherwise decent. The microphone has a tinny quality to it, however I was more disappointed at how loudly I could hear my own mouse clicks (it claims to have noise canceling). I would expect a headset like this to go for $15 at the most, but I paid twice that. Very poor quality overall, stay away from this.

Good Product for the price
I ordered this because I needed a headset that is truly noise canceling. I’ve ordered several other brands before this one and none seem to keep out the background noise, but this one truly works. I’ve tested it on several occasions and people on the other end can not hear anything in the background. So far so good!
