These replaced the remotes for a relatively unknown local cable provider. It works perfectly. Came with good setup instructions that made the setup and programing easy. Great price for two remotes and even came with batteries!

Great product no complaint

The remote controls we received are identical to the one provided by Spectrum.

The price was unbeatable but the controls are NOT new, false advertising, but used.I had no difficulty getting these to work with my 10-year-old Samsung 3D HDTV. The only thing I struggled with was trying to remember which code to use for my TV. The provided pamphlet was the same as I got with my original Spectrum remote and I just had to reread and follow the instructions.My main complaint is that these 2 remotes showed scuff marks on the back as if they had been in use for months or longer, sliding back and forth on a table surface or something like that. The buttons also had some dirt on them. Obviously, these are not new or even refurbished. I have my qualms, since they aren’t new, how much abuse they took and how much life they have left.I bought these as spares because my original started to become “low battery sensitive” and I was afraid it was close to failure. New batteries seemed to fix the problem but the difference in voltage between the old and new batteries was not that significant for it to cause the intermittent button response inputs I experienced.

There was no instruction manual included as pictured on Amazon! So, needless to say it took me almost two hours to figure out how to work the remote. I finally found a YouTube video that was similar to the remote I had, and I got it to work. If I were at home when I received this item without instructions, I would have returned it! But I am currently staying in a hotel for business and the hotel only gives you one remote which surprise, surprise it didn't work on the second tv! All I ask is you give me the items that are stated on the website, no more no less. I would only recommend this product if you were tech savvy and don't really need detail instructions on how to make it work. I will say once I got it to work, it did change my cable stations like I wanted.

The remotes was great work fine no problems. The problem was how its advertised it say 3 to choose from.i thought you was getting 3 different remotes. You get 2 of the same remote. It still was a good deal. Because they was easy to program. And work great. I tried to get the remote that came with spectrum cable box to work and after 2 hours on the phone trying tofix it i was told to bring cable box and remote and get new one. I tried the other remote that work in my other room and nothing. But soon as i tried this remote both work perfectly. Save me a trip to spectrum. So you get 2 not 3 but they work great.

Needed to replace a UR5U-9000 remote that had a keypad fail. After doing a little research, found out that this remote (UR5U-8780L) has an identical button layout, with the only noticeable difference being the remote’s body. An online PDF of the manual showed this remote was compatible with our cable box. Remote was packaged with some generic batteries that I did not use. Programming the remote was easy but did have to be manually done. Remote works perfectly. Only minor concern from a different purchase of this model is I've had an early channel button failure. At this price point however, I’d still recommend these without question.
