Supposedly the baking soda helps with silent reflux, but most other gums have artificial sweeteners, and I didn't want that. Aspartame tends to give me a headache.I have to say, the flavor at first is weird if you have only ever chewed sweetened gum. But once you get past that, it's very much like chewing arm and hammer toothpaste, which sounds weird, but isn't. It has constant tiny bursts of mint flavor as you chew, which keeps the flavor going for a while, and the texture never thins out. It can make chewing it exhausting.
