**Q: does natural hog castings need refrigerated ?**
A: It depends - I have them plenty  so I keep them even in freezer and they are still in good usable  condition (no breaking while stuffing)...Since you suppose keep them  in salt  even so is  much better   store them in fridge....Regards  and keep making home polish sausage....If comes to meat (pork)  inhere  in (Florida)  is Save a LOT store - very good COV pork sirloin    from time to  time is only (!)  99 cents/pound...Unbelievable ! these days....Don't buy W-D Smithfield that's  all "china" meat...brrr   Regards

**Q: Can an unopened package be kept in the freezer without damageing the caseings ?**
A: Because the Casing are packed in salt they survived my refrigerator for months. However, I am very careful not to shake off salt nor touch the casings with my hands minimizing bacteria. I haven’t attempted freezing but I will try that next time.

**Q: Can they be cooked like chitterlings?**
A: No

**Q: Where are these made?**
A: Don't know where they come from, but there were very nice -- came in about three foot section and they were dried. Soaked what I needed and put the rest in a closed plastic bag in the frig. Because dried and in precut strips avoided the tangling that most casings have.
